What is the name of your blog and how did you choose this name for your blog?
My blog is Monkey Mayhem. I choose it because I love monkeys, and my kids seem to act like monkeys most of the time, and my house is complete mayhem 99% of the time.
How long have you had your blog?
I started my blog in April of 2008 I think.
What made you start a blog?
I was friends with Kristin from Our Ordinary Life on a mommy forum and she was promoting her blog, I got interested and she helped me start it up.
Tell us a little about yourself – do you have kids? grandkids? pets?
Well, I’m married to Jeff, we met online in 2003 in a chat room. We have 3 amazing kids together, Jeffery who is 5, Jaylin – my little princess (so far my only girl) is 3, and Jaxon is 8 months old. We currently have a cat named Kitty and 2 dogs named Charley and Pepper, although we are looking for a new home for Charley. Jeff just got me the pug puppy for Valentines Day! her name is Sweetpea, and you can read about her here.
What are some of your favorite blogs?
Hmm….Well, Eighty MPH Mom of course, Our Ordinary Life, Outnumbered 3 to 1, Mrs Cox Slice o’ Heaven, and The Five Fish are a few of my favorites, I follow a ton of blogs though.
What do you think makes a good blog? Why?
I think personal posts. I love to learn about the writer. I see a lot of blogs that are nothing but reviews and giveaways and I know nothing about the author.
What is a complaint you have about some blogs?
Too many review/giveaways and not enough personal stuff.
What is your favorite Meme?
Monday Mingle, because it’s the only one I do lol

What is the best prize you have ever won in a giveaway?
I don’t win much, I’m unlucky apparently lol the last giveaway I remember winning was on Our Ordinary Life for a Fisher Price toy for Jaxon.
What is the best/favorite post you have ever written?
There are too many. I love to write about the town I live in, it’s so small and I enjoy sharing some of the unique things that happen here.
What is the most exciting thing that has happened with your blog lately?
Uhm….nothing lately because it’s been a crazy home life. I have a lot of catching up to do and I think I’m going to be working with another blogger in May for a birthday event for Jaxon and another baby born around the same time. I’m trying to get back on schedule, it’s hard when I have all three kids all day since the older two have been out of school for almost 2 weeks because of the snow.
Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
I love monkeys!
