Welcome to our Step into Summer event! Melissa and I have some wonderful things lined up for you to help you get ready for summer. We spend so much time in our backyard in the summer (on days when it isn’t too hot), and we slowly but surely are getting it just the way we want it. We have the cute little bistro set {check out my Hayneedle Bistro Set review!}, and I have planted fresh flowers. One thing that was lacking was something we have always wanted, after seeing them at our friends house – an outdoor fire pit. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was to find out we would be reviewing a fire pit from Well Traveled Living. To me, this is a perfect summer product, as we can sit in the backyard, with our cozy fire and admire the stars, or each other {grin}. We might even let the kids join us!

Well Traveled Living is a designer, importer and distributor of outdoor living products. Established in 1998, we were the major force in popularizing clay chimineas in the United States. From there the company expanded its reach by developing a full range of innovative outdoor heating, patio and home and garden products. Today, as a leading innovator in these product categories, we market our products under the Fire Sense and Patio Sense brand names.

I chose the Cast Iron Rim Stone Finish Fire Pit. I loved the sleek and modern look of it, and instantly fell in love. Here is a video that will show you a little more about the fire pit I chose.

My husband assembled this for me {I am not very good at assembling – true story!}.  He and I were both very impressed by how well it was packaged. No parts were damaged during delivery, which was a relief.  He pulled the parts out and read the directions and started to put it together.  He had a few issues with the stone panels, as the edges weren’t quite flush, which prevented the screws from lining up with the screw holes.  He made a few minor modifications and finally got it together.   I can’t say if they are all like this, it may just have been a flaw in the one we received.  Look at this beauty:

Well Traveled Living has much more than gorgeous fire pits {yes the one pictured above is only one small portion of their fire pit collection!}. They have items for all types of backyard needs, including charcoal barbecue grills, electric fireplaces, patio heaters and more. I think we are really going to have an amazing backyard by the time we are finished. One thing I really like is the table top patio heater. This would be perfect for those chilly nights when we would like to be outdoors. Heck, we could even have dinner outside with one of these patio heaters to keep us toasty.
