I have been so excited to post about this! While wandering through the expo hall at BlogHer, I came across the Eggland’s Best booth as well as a handsome little slot machine {if you know me, you know I have never met a slot machine I didn’t love}. They suggested play the slot machine. Sure, why not? Well my excitement grew as theirs did when they said that I was the grand prize winner! Yep – that’s right. I won a year’s supply of eggs. Not just any eggs, but Eggland’s Best. Not only is it very exciting to win that many eggs, but I frequently buy theirs because they are…well…the best!
Here is the announcement on their website {I’m quite proud}:
I know the egg recall has scared many people {myself included}, but I was so happy to hear that Eggland’s Best was not on the recall list.
According to the Eggland’s Best website:
Eggland’s Best Eggs are Safe to Eat!
Eggland’s Best eggs are NOT involved in any recall you may have heard about.
EB eggs are safe and NOT produced in Iowa.
All EB hens are vaccinated 3 times against salmonella.
Eggland’s Best has the most comprehensive food safety quality assurance program.
Eggland’s Best hens are fed an all-natural, all-vegatarian diet that contains no animal fat, no animal by-products, and no recycled or processed food, a potential source of salmonella.
If that isn’t reason enough to eat Eggland’s Best eggs, check out the benefits. Did you know that their eggs have less cholesterol than an ordinary egg? Their eggs are also higher in Vitamins B, D, B12, A, B2 and Folate. I had no idea until I started looking more closely at their site. I knew Eggland’s Best eggs were not your ordinary eggs, but I am so happy to know exactly why. They are also higher in Omega 3 {heart health}, Lutein {vision}, and lots of protein. To learn more, read about Eggland’s Best health benefits. The have organic eggs, brown eggs, and even cage-free eggs too.
I received a stack of coupons {I believe 27 of them!} just a couple of days ago, and I cannot wait to use them. Not only will this save me a load of money, but I am anxious to try some of Eggland’s Best yummy looking recipes. Make sure you follow Eggland’s Best on Twitter and Facebook!
THANK YOU so much, Eggland’s Best – I am one happy girl!

Awesome, cant beat free eggs for a year. Eggs are pretty expensive so we do not buy them often.
I was not any good at that slot machine, I think I need to stay away from Vegas!
Oh come with me to Vegas – I’ll show you the ropes!
That is seriously SO cool! Congrats! And what a fun idea for a company giveaway – slots!
That is awesome Speedy!!
Congratulations on the fabulous win! I remember the Eggland’s Best booth was one of the last that we went to on Saturday. They were really great and the slot machine a lot of fun.
Thanks! I know – they were super friendly
What a great win! Eggsland Best are the only eggs that we buy and with the recall going on we’re so glad that we can eat them without a worry. And because I find coupons for EB in the women’s magazines almost every month, I can get these really good eggs for the same cost as the store brand.
We have bought Eggland”s Best Eggs because of our cholesterol issues in this household.
Congratulations on your win. Are you dreaming yet of deviled eggs, quiches, flans, omelets, over-easy eggs and more? Actually we have breakfast for supper at least once a month in my house and eggs are always
included in that meal. We always eat sliced tomato’s along with our breakfast for supper meals, or if they aren’t available we have orange edges.
Enjoy your win because you deserve something great like this.
WHOA…I am thinking you are gonna host one big Breakfast Bash? I didnt know bloggers had so much fun…wish could play! congrats Jennifer!
Congratulations! That’s an awesome win. I love Eggland”s Best Eggs too!
WooHoo!!! Congratulations… I can’t think of a sweeter person to win.
I love slot machines, too.
I think EBs are terrific eggs also, but usually don’t end up getting them because of the cost, so that is a GREAT prize, can’t wait to see some recipes on The Speedy Gourmet.
Thanks Lori! I am soooooooo excited!
