I have been hearing about Tassimo brewers for quite awhile now, but only recently tried one for myself. We are huge coffee drinkers in this household – my husband, son and I at least, and we really enjoy fresh brewed coffee. The problem during the weekdays, however, is that my husband is working and many days my son is at school {college}. My son’s school hours are pretty sporadic this quarter, and I hate to waste a whole pot of coffee if I am the only one drinking it on a particular day.
Problem solved! For review, I received a Bosch Tassimo T20 single-serve brewer {$129.99 ARV}, Bosch TASSIMO T20 Color Kit {$19.99 ARV}, and TDISCS. I was SO thrilled when I received this, and immediately plugged it in to try it out.

The Tassimo T20 brews over 40 varieties of hot and cold beverages including coffee, chai latte, cappuccino, tea and more! The compact size makes it counter-friendly and there is zero cleanup. The Tassimo brews the perfect beverage in under 60 seconds every time!

I thought it might take awhile to set up, and contemplated waiting until I wasn’t so busy, but decided to go ahead and try it anyway. I really wanted to try a cappuccino with the TDISCS I received. I was intrigued with the little discs of milk/creamer that were sent to me along with Starbucks Espresso discs.

I read through the instructions and it seemed pretty simple. I filled the water reservoir to the fill line {this was really easy – the reservoir pulls off and reattaches without effort, and regular tap water can be used}. I turned the machine on, waited for the green light, and ran a few mug fulls of hot water through, per the instructions. What I really liked is that from the time of plugging in, until the first cup is ready, is minimal. There is no waiting for the water to heat up.
Finally the big moment was here! I set the milk/creamer print side down in the Tassimo T20, set a big mug on the tray and pressed start. The milk steamed and filled my mug about 1/3 full. Next, I inserted the espresso disc and watched with fascination as the coffee poured into the milk. It looked just like it does at a fancy coffee house! Next – the taste test. It was rich, creamy and strong – just the way I love my coffee.

I am happy to say that I have enjoyed many, many more homemade cappuccinos since receiving my machine. I am not running out to buy fancy coffee drinks as often. This honestly saves me from doing that, and I crave these now! Of course, you can just use regular TDISCS in the Tassimo T20 if you don’t want the milk or cappuccino. They are super easy to use, and making a cup of coffee is very quick, and the taste is so yummy. I love having a fresh cup of coffee on my 2nd or 3rd cup of the day – it sure beats drinking out of a coffee pot that has been sitting around for hours and rewarmed. Blech.
Tassimo has Color Kits too, which you can use to make your brewer match your existing kitchen colors. I love this idea!

My final thoughts? I absolutely LOVE the Tassimo T20! There is not one single thing I do not like about it – seriously. I highly recommend this for a holiday present, or a present any time of year. If you are still using the same old boring coffee pot, it just might be time to treat yourself to a Tassimo T20 Single-Serve Coffee Brewer as well!

I used their Beverage Recommender – pretty neat! – And it recommended Starbucks® Caffè Verona® for our household. Though the Starbucks® Latte Primo sound very good too
