PET-ZZZ-PAD

Do your pets get cold at night? Maybe you have a short-haired cat or dog that easily gets chilled. Or maybe your pet just likes that warm and fuzzy feeling, but you have mostly tile in your house. Pet-zzz-pad is here to help!
I was sent for review, a Pet-ZZZ-Pad electric pet warmer pad. They are available in three sizes, and I chose Large {$39.99 ARV) because my cats are, well, pretty hefty. I really wasn’t sure what they would think of a warming pad. I also worried about them chewing on the cord of an electric type pad {they are very curious}.
I was pleasantly surprised when I received the Pet-ZZZ-Pad – it has a nice, soft fleece covering over the pad, and the cord is covered in a thick material that cannot be easily penetrated. The pad heats to the vet-recommended 102 degrees. What is really neat is that the heat is activated when they step/sit on the pad, and it turns off when they leave the pad. Love it!
Now for the big test – would my cats like it? They typically sleep on the couches, or in the one kitty bed we have, so I put this on the floor right next to the kitty bed. I haven’t yet tried it inside the bed, but I don’t know that I need to! Having it separate allows for two of my kitties to be warm and cozy at the same time. The results?
Lilly aka Squeakers was fascinated. She stepped on it for a few minutes, got off, got back on and sat. It was funny to watch as she slowly sprawled out like she was melting into it {in a good way}.

Jake aka Bubba {my other huge furry grey kitty} took a little longer to warm up to it but then it was hard to keep him off:

Newman was a little apprehensive, which is unusual, but then he decided he liked it quite a bit!

Even as the weather starts to warm up, pets still need and crave warmth, according to veterinarians.
With a normal body temperature of 102 degrees, our furry friends still need a warm spot to curl up to, even in the spring. Also, according to Christopher Hallihan, DVM, Managing Partner at Animal Care Center in New Jersey, pets with muscle or joint pain often seek out sun spots.
Dr. Halilhan recommends providing the Pet-zzz-pad, which heats up to a recommended 102 degrees, for pets year round. “The Pet-zzz-pad moldable mat helps keep them comfortable. You may also want to use it for dogs that shiver, as well as puppies and kittens that need extra warmth,” he said.
Folks, I think we have a winner! I am just hoping that there won’t be knock down, drag out fights with the cats
I do recommend getting the large size pad, as it is just big enough for my largest cat. The smaller pads might be fine for really little dogs, but for cats, I suggest Large.
The Pet-zzz-pad comes in three sizes {S, M, L}, and comes with a removable and machine washable fleece cover. The cord is covered in a chew resistant cord casing. They can be purchased online at Petco.com, Amazon.com and other retailers {$19.99 – $39.99}.

It would be for my 18 year old tabby, Patty. She is getting arthitis pretty bad, and would really like it.

It would be for all three of my babies. My dog doesn’t have much in the way of fur, so she’s always cold and looking for a warm body to curl up against. And my two cats actively seek out any warm spots a person may leave behind. So if you move from your spot on the couch or bed, chances are when you come back you’ve lost it to a very happy kitty.
