Mighty Leaf Iced Tea Giveaway (Bodum Pitcher and assortment of teas)

Mighty Leaf Logo
Some things just belong together. Chocolate and peanut butter. Pancakes and maple syrup. Mork and Mindy. Summertime and freshly brewed iced tea. I mean, sure you can have pancakes without syrup or Mork without Mindy, but something’s just missing, right? Same thing with summer and iced tea. Maybe it’s because my mom used to make sun tea on sticky summer afternoons or perhaps it’s just because there are very few drinks as light and refreshing as iced tea, but for me, it’s not summer without copious amounts of iced tea–no sugar, lots of ice.

Mighty Leaf Pitcher

Although you can make iced tea with just about any kind of tea bag, I love Mighty Leaf Iced Tea because the bags are just the right size for a pitcher–no worries about using too many bags and making bitter tea or too few for a weak, flavorless brew. Nope, Mighty Leaf takes care of the measuring for you. Each eco-friendly pouch brews a half-gallon pitcher of iced tea, perfect for bringing along to an afternoon picnic or day at the beach. A box of Mighty Leaf Iced Tea contains four pouches of tea–at $6.25 per box, this is much more economical than buying bottled tea. Brewing Mighty Leaf Iced Tea is as simple as adding a tea pouch to a 64 oz. glass pitcher, pouring 32 oz. of boiling water over the pouch and steeping for 4-5 minutes, removing the pouch, and adding ice until the pitcher is full. So easy!

Being freshly brewed and made with hand-blended whole leaf teas, fruits, and aromatic herbs, Mighty Leaf Iced Tea tastes better than those bottled teas too. I was really impressed with the variety of flavors that Mighty Leaf makes too.
Mighty Leaf Flavors

Ginger Peach Iced Tea: A blissful and lightly sweet black iced tea infused with sun-swelled peaches and delicate ginger.

Calypso Mango Iced Tea: A sweet and cooling black iced tea with an indulging blend of South Indian black tea leaves, luscious mango, and tropical fruit.

Organic Black Iced Tea: A flavorful black iced tea made of refreshingly rich and smooth South Indian organic black tea leaves hand-picked on the dewy slopes of the Nilgiri Mountains.

Sunburst Green Iced Tea: A cool and vibrant iced green tea that delivers mountain-grown Chinese green tea leaves brightened with the crisp taste of ripe oranges and sweet citrus. The lowest in caffeine among all four flavors.

Unlike some teas, none of the fruit flavors in Mighty Leaf Iced Tea were cloying or artificial tasting and none of them over-powered the flavor of the tea itself. Although we enjoyed each flavor, the Calypso Mango Tea was our favorite–it tasted like summer in a glass. If you’re having a weekend barbecue, Mighty Leaf Teas has some tasty mocktail recipes that are sure to be a hit with both children and adults. Here’s one of my favorites:

Mango Peach Iced Tea
Serves 1 (16 oz. cup)
8 oz. Ice
7 oz. Mighty Leaf Ginger Peach Iced Tea
2 oz. Mango Juice or Mango Puree

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Give a hearty shake and serve.

I don’t know about you, but I’m thinking a Mighty Leaf mocktail bar would be a great idea for our next summer get-together!
