Alouette “Portion Size Me” Cheese and Cookbook Giveaway

It is sometimes easy to go overboard when eating cheese, as it is just so tasty, but Alouette cheese has just come out with a new line of 100% all-natural, gluten-free, 40-calorie servings of America’s #1 spreadable cheese, providing everyone a convenient snacking option without sacrificing taste.

Alouette not only makes delicious spreadable cheeses (including Brie), but they also make specialty cheeses too.  These include crumbled cheeses, logs, and more.

The cheese is delicious! My husband loved to eat the Garlic Herbs Spreadable Cheese, he’s been eating it daily on mini bagels. I was sent four boxes of samples, two original and two garlic herbs. Along with three coupons and a signed copy of Portion Size Me book written by Marshall and Alexandra Reid.

I found some delicious recipes on the Alouette website too, like a video on how to make Shrimp and Cheese Wontons (YUM). On their website, you can search by the specific cheese you bought for a recipe to go with it, which is really helpful. They have a complete listing of products, recipes, videos and a neat explore section as well. Under the explore tab you’ll find a handy wine paring finder – simply select the cheese you have or wine and you’ll find a match for the food or event you want to be…well…perfect!

About Portion Size Me

Portion Size Me is a lifestyle and campaign that started out as a summer project whereby then 10-year-old Marshall Reid of Sanford, N.C. inspired his family to “get real” with their food choices. Now leading the 2012 Portion Size Me Summer Tour, the Reids hope to inspire other families across the country to consider the Portion Size Me lifestyle.

I think it is important for everyone to be aware of portion sizes and I love that Alouette has taken the guesswork out of this.  Adults and children alike will find that this is an easy and tasty option when a snack is in order :)

Here is what Marshall Reid had to say about Alouette cheese:

With the Portion Size Me lifestyle, I didn’t want to give up cheese as one of my favorite foods,” said Reid. “Thankfully, Alouette has done the ‘portioning’ for me by offering a 40-calorie all-natural option of their delicious spreadable cheese that I can enjoy virtually anytime of day – on a whole-grain bagel or toast before school, with crackers or pretzel sticks at lunch, or even with my fruits and veggies as a snack. Plus, the Portions are made with just fresh milk and cream, and you can’t get anymore all-natural than that.

I truly enjoyed Alouette cheese and the Portion Size Me book. It is amazing that one child can make such an incredible difference.

The new Alouette Portions are available in two flavors – Original and Italian Herbs and are you can find them at your grocery store now!
