Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, Diane Sawyer, Sigourney Weaver, Diana Ross, Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton, Sissy Spacek, Glenn Close, Susan Sarandon and the Chicken of the Sea Mermaid. These women all have one thing in common. Can you guess what it is?
They are all sixty (something) and sensational! A celebration is certainly in order because Chicken of the Sea’s Mermaid is turning 60 this year! After first gracing labels in 1952, she’s steadily symbolized quality for the brand for the past six decades. Now, lighting and blowing out candles underwater would be quite a task so the Mermaid wants to share her birthday with you. Instead of trying to put together an elaborate oceanic soirée, she wants to reward other exceptional sixty-somethings with her launch of the Chicken of the Sea: 60s & Sensational Contest.
Four grand-prize winners will be able to choose from one of the following birthday gift packages:
- A one thousand dollar shopping spree
- Dinner for you and three friends with a limousine for transportation
- A spa package for two, complete with dinner and hotel accommodations
To enter, Chicken of the Sea’s Facebook fans are asked to nominate themselves or someone they know, between the ages of 60 and 69, who fuels their mind, body and spirit through healthy eating, activity and personal fulfillment. Now don’t be discouraged if you’re too young or have had one too many birthdays to fit into that “sensational sixties” category – you can still win! Facebook fans that submit a nominee will be entered into a daily contest for the chance to win some wonderful Chicken of the Sea goodies.
The Chicken of the Sea 60s & Sensational Contest will be accepting entries until August 12, 2012 and voting will begin the following Monday. Head on over to their Facebook page to get your nominations in! A one thousand dollar shopping spree, a luxurious spa trip, an elegant dinner with your best friends, gifts galore and tuna! What’s not to love?
Let me just tell you that their spa kit is pretty amazing (when I can manage to find some “me” time). My kids now have their 6-8 daily glasses of water more than covered with the new, reusable water bottle. As for the tuna we all know and love – it’s only gotten better, just as the Mermaid has! Chicken of the Sea now offers no drain cans! Although our cat will be quite disappointed with no longer getting his tuna day treat, it will certainly encourage me to make Chicken of the Sea a more regular meal in our home. No mother can turn down a “mess free” product!
Now, I cannot help but think of the Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica episode with, singer and actress, Jessica Simpson’s “is this chicken?” bit, when talking about Chicken of the Sea. They do say that laughter is the best medicine and I’ll happily take laugh lines over crow’s feet any day, so chuckle I will. Hopefully doing so will help me to stay sensational and age just as gracefully as these women have.
While we’re on the topic of being sensational, how do you manage it? Eating healthy and exercising daily? Keeping your body and mind active? Taking the time out of your day to just relax? Share your tips, routines and tricks telling us how you stay sensational and one lucky Eighty MPH Mom reader will win some Chicken of the Sea swag as well.
THE GIVEAWAY:
One (1) winner will receive a Chicken of the Sea Prize Pack (shown above), which includes: Spa kit, water bottle and a can of Chicken of the Sea’s newest product, Chicken of the Sea No Drain Tuna.
