You know those restaurants that have deals on meals for kids – usually on certain days of the week? It’s always a welcome sign, especially if you have several children. Eating out with kids can be very expensive!
Jennifer Bilbro, a busy mom who was tired of overpaying for kids’ meals, founded Out to Eat With Kids, an online database that features local restaurants with healthy kids’ meals at reasonable prices.
At OuttoEatWithKids.com, parents can search by zip code and day of the week to find a selection of FREE or reduced-price kids’ meals at local restaurants. What a great idea this is! There is no more wondering which places have deals on which days.
Currently, the Out to Eat With Kids site features over 15,000 restaurants nationwide and it is updated frequently. I can’t help but think how handy this is, and even planning birthday parties will be made easier when you can check ahead of time to see which restaurants have special meals/deals for kids (and party guests).
Out to Eat With Kids is also working with the National Restaurant Association to promote healthy menu options for kids through its Kids LiveWell program. You will find the Out to Eat With Kids special logo alongside qualifying restaurants that meet Kids LiveWell’s nutritional standards for children’s meals.
Here is a short video that explains it further:
Parents can also access this incredible resource for meals on-the-go by using its free mobile app. The mobile app can be found on iTunes and also in the Android Market.
To celebrate Out to Eat With Kids, and to help you eat out with your kids, I have a fun giveaway for you!
