Oh what a happy day it was when my Maytag kitchen appliances arrived. I could hardly stand the wait, and I ran outside to greet the delivery truck when the big day came. I jumped and clapped my hands as each item was brought into the house (seriously, I did), and they really nice delivery guys began installing my new beauties. If you remember what my old appliances looked like, you will know why I was ecstatic.
Maytag is a trusted brand that has been around for years and years. They are also an American brand which I wholeheartedly support. All of the previous Maytag appliances I have had (in homes past, and in my current home, my washer and dryer), have been outstanding. As a busy mom, I need dependable appliances. I don’t have time (or patience) for breakdowns in the kitchen or anywhere in my house. My house typically runs like a well-oiled machine, and I like to keep it that way.
So without further delay – I present to you my new Maytag Kitchen Suite!
The Maytag Ice20 French Door Refrigerator with Easy Access Refrigerator (MSRP $2,599)
Isn’t she gorgeous? I swooned when I saw the refrigerator being put in it’s place. It fit perfectly in the space where our old refrigerator was (I was slightly worried that perhaps it wouldn’t). I opened both doors and was amazed at how much room there was!
I had SO much fun arranging everything in my new refrigerator. Previously, I had a side by side model and it was just too narrow to fit items in properly. We always seemed to be hunting for everything, anytime we opened the doors. There are handy (adjustable) shelves in the doors of the Maytag Ice20 French Door Refrigerator, which I quickly filled with bottles and condiments.
There is plenty of room in the center of the refrigerator for even large items. What a relief this is, and it will make my life so much easier. I will no longer have to cram things in, hoping that the door will shut!
I think my favorite feature of the refrigerator is the drawer. It sits between the top of the refrigerator and the bottom freezer and has oodles of space for veggies, deli items, or whatever else. My husband found that the middle section of the drawer was perfect for storing his adult beverages (blocked out below). 🙂
The freezer is very practical. It just makes sense that the freezer should be on the bottom, as we typically do not need to access it as often as the refrigerated items above. The pull out drawer is perfect for frozen items, and there is a little rack above the main drawer that is perfect for smaller items. We found that it holds our canned frozen juices and pint size ice cream containers. This rack stays put when the bottom drawer is pulled out, for easy access to just the main frozen items.
The digital display on the refrigerator is really something! One of my very favorite features is “measured fill” option. It counts ounces, cups and/or liters when it is dispensing water. If you have a recipe that calls for a specific amount of water, just press the cup or glass (it doesn’t even have to be a measuring cup!) against the lever and it will do the math for you! Now THAT is my kind of easy (and if you know me, you know that I am horrible at math).
There are way too many handy features to tell you about, but Maytag really has thought of everything.
Here are just a few of the features:
- The shelves are removable for easy clean-up
- There is a power outage indicator (which even tells you how long the power was out),
- It has a PUR hidden water filter, which only has to be changed twice a year.
- The Maytag Temperature Control System – several features work together to ensure the safety and freshness of food.
- Energy Star Qualified
What I love: The lighting, the digital display which has so many options, the easy access drawer, and just about everything else.
What I would change: There isn’t a dedicated space for butter or eggs. I do miss the butter/dairy compartment for my butter.
Maytag Jetclean Plus Dishwasher with Fully Intergrated Controls (MSRP $849):
This is one beautiful dishwasher! I really love the setup, although it is a bit different from my old one. This would be the case with any dishwasher I imagine, and I am quickly learning how to load it in the most efficient manner.
I absolutely love that the controls for the dishwasher are on top of the door. Even though the controls are pretty on the Maytag Jetclean Plus Dishwasher, it is still nice to have them hidden away. Something new for me to learn was that I have to press the buttons before closing the dishwasher. It felt kind of weird at first but it is nice and convenient for it to lock itself and start washing on its own. There are several settings to choose from, depending on how dirty your dishes are or if they need some heavy duty help!
There is also the option to delay running the dishwasher. I really like this feature, as it is nice to have it run in the middle of the night while we are sleeping (instead of when we are trying to watch TV). Of course, the Maytag Jetclean Plus Dishwasher is so quiet that it probably wouldn’t even matter if we ran it while trying to listen to the television.
Other features:
- Jetclean® Plus Steam cycle – There are high pressure spray jets and increased temperatures which power off tough, stuck-on food while finishing steam helps clean and reduce spots on glassware.
- 4-Blade Stainless Steel Chopper – a stainless steel chopper which pulverizes food, and prevents particles from plugging the wash system and spray jets. This eliminates the need to pre-rinse.
- Stainless Steel Interior – not only is this gorgeous, but this interior resists corrosion and offers premium drying performance.
- Steam Sanitize Option
- Tiered Upper Rack
What I love: Everything
What I would change: Not a thing!
Maytag Over-the-Range Microwave with Stainless Steel Interior (MSRP $389):
I absolutely adore this microwave! I was concerned at first, as I didn’t think it had a carousel, so naturally I was relieved to discover that the WideGlide Tray actually moves! What a clever idea – I can heat larger items, and they will still get fully cooked/heated, without hitting the sides of the microwave!
This microwave is really, really easy to operate. All of the buttons are self-explanatory. There are options to defrost, reheat and so many others to make life easier.
I love everything about this!
Maytag 6.2 cu. Ft. Capacity Gas Range with Triple-Choice and Speed Heat Elements (MSRP $1,049):
I honestly didn’t realize that I would be receiving a 5-burner stove. This just made my day. Now I can have several things cooking at once. Oh how this helps!
I love the display/controls!
I have been cooking up a storm – I have made cupcakes, home made wheat bread, and much more – everything turned out perfect! It really is a joy to bake again, now that I have my new Maytag oven!
The only complaint I have with this oven is that the outside of it gets very hot. I am not sure if this is true of all stainless steel ovens, since this is my first one, but if I had small children, it would be a concern. Also when opening the oven, I have to be very careful, as the area behind the handle is extremely hot (where the vent is, and also the surface). The first time I opened it to pull something out, I burned my knuckles. I now know better 🙂
Features:
- EvenAir Convection
- AquaLift Self-Clean Technology
- 3 oven racks
- Panoramic View Oven Window
- Precision Warming Center
What I love: I love the size! It is huge (6.2 Cubic Feet). I will now be able to cook a turkey and even cookies on regular size cookie sheets (unlike the previous oven, which was incredibly narrow). I love the controls and how easy they are to use. Oh – and there is even a Sabbath setting, for those who observe!
What I would change: I would make the outside surface of the oven not get so hot while something is cooking. Maybe a barrier of some sort behind the handle would help reduce the chances of being burned.
I cannot express how delighted I am with all of the appliances. Since I will be hosting Thanksgiving in our new home this year (the first time in a long time!), not only will the job be easier, but I have a gorgeous kitchen to show off. Thanks to Maytag, I will be able to prepare a fantastic meal with very little effort.

Stay tuned for my next post – when I reveal how all of the appliances have changed the look of my kitchen!
*I wrote this post participating in an Maytag Moms Dependable Kitchen Ambassador program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Maytag. I was provided with a Maytag kitchen appliances set, including a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and range to facilitate my post.

Liz @ A Nut in a Nutshell
I want to come over and just sit there and stare. Those are spectacular. Love the double sides of shelving in the fridge. I never have enough room for bottles and things! And the pull-out drawers…I want.
I can’t wait to see how you use all of this!
Jennifer-admin
Come on over! We can bake together!
Jeffrey
These look awesome, congrats! The fridge is my favorite part. I like the idea of the bottom freezer as we hardly access ours. I don’t store much in there, mostly fruits and veggies I have preserved from the garden and of course ice cream! This set would freshen up any kitchen!
Jennifer @ Mom Spotted
That fridge is beautiful and I love that the stove is 5 burner. I jut wish they would put a prettier cast iron pattern or topper on the stove. Your kitchen looks fabulous! You must love being in it now.
ps. I’m a jumper and a clapper on the big things too.

I really do enjoy being in my kitchen again, and it’s fun to be passionate about cooking again!
Kiersten @ Oh My Veggies
They are gorgeous, Jen! And it looks like they’re really functional too. You must be cooking up a storm!
