With Labor Day weekend already upon us, the holidays are no longer that far off. With many retailers already setting up shop for the fall festivities, I keep trying to pinch myself out of this dream because summer cannot possibly be coming to an end already. Unfortunately, this is reality, and summer must come to an end. The start of fall and back-to-school season means a lot of shopping for us. In our home, we have a ton of birthdays, events, and of course the holidays all just around the corner. Now, as the mother of two boys, gift shopping has become a bit of a nightmare. Don’t get me wrong; I love that we get twice the use out of all of the kids’ toys. However, when it comes to shopping for new gifts come birthdays and holidays, things get a bit tricky. What big brother doesn’t have, little brother probably does and what little brother doesn’t have, big brother definitely does. It’s a never ending cycle in our house. My solution – skip the toys.
We typically vouch for more thoughtful and practical gifts for the kids. Things that they’ll use and hold onto are better than today’s toys that they’ll outgrow tomorrow. Nine times out of ten, these types of gifts include something personalized. Most personalized gifts aren’t easy to come by and many include items that aren’t exactly kid friendly (glass, porcelain, etc.). Thankfully, however, there is one company that caters to the world of children while keeping in suit with the distinguished, thoughtful gifts.
I learned of I See Me! a short while ago and have become overjoyed with their large array of personalized children’s gifts. After receiving a personalized children’s book for their own child, Maia and Allan, worked tirelessly to better the idea and make this a gifting option available to parents everywhere. Together, they launched I See Me! in 2000 and have not slowed down since. With a slew of products under their belt – storybooks, placemats, coloring books, and more! – I See Me! has something for everyone.
Recently they embarked upon a new adventure and gave me a sneak peek just so I could share it with you! With perfect timing for back-to-school shopping needs, I See Me! has just released Personalized Lunchboxes!
I’m a sucker for the classics. Sure, the new aged lunchboxes with snazzy pockets are cute but with the age-old, simple tin lunchboxes, you cannot go wrong. That must’ve been exactly what the I See Me! team was thinking because their new lunchbox line is adorable! Of course, by adding a slightly modern twist, these are twice as cute! Not only do these new lunchboxes fall in line with the personalization aspect, but we parents can re-personalize them daily with the added feature of a built in chalkboard! Seriously, how cute is this?!
With ten different options to choose from including:
- Dino-Mite Personalized Lunchbox
- Dreamy Day Personalized Lunchbox
- All-A-Flutter-Butterflies Personalized Lunchbox
- Outerspace Personalized Lunchbox
- Prima Ballerinas Personalized Lunchbox
- In the Garden Personalized Lunchbox
- Cars & Vehicles Personalized Lunchbox
- Kick, Score, Run! Personalized Lunchbox
- Off to School Personalized Lunchbox
- My Very Own Fairy Tale Personalized Lunchbox
Priced at just under $30, these are a bit more expensive than your average lunchbox but I believe that it is well worth the investment. I used to have a princess lunchbox from when I was younger and it lasted me for more than half of my life. While I didn’t always use it for school lunches, it had practical uses for in the home as well. I carried everything from crayons and markers to Barbie doll accessories and, yes, lunch, in that box. Sadly, it ended up getting lost in one of our many moves but had it have been donned with my name, you can bet that I’d still have it displayed here today.
A child’s name is something special. It signifies their very existence and, for the little ones, it helps them celebrate their own uniqueness and, thus, helps to build self-confidence. With our oldest now aware of each individual letter within his name, he requests to have it on everything that he owns. “This (insert item here) is my special thing, Mommy. Can we write my name on it?” is a request that I get all too often. When able, I oblige. Helping him visualize his name and be proud of his individuality is certainly something that I am willing to invest in.
The wonderful folk over at I See Me! recently sent me one of these lovely little lunchboxes for our big kid as he heads back to school. I cannot tell you how much he enjoys this particular lunchbox. When he’s not using it for his lunches, he keeps it on hand for his toys. Why does he love it so? He loves it because it is, to put it simply, his.
“Mommy, look! M-A-S-O-N! It says me! That’s me!”
Now, since we have two little ones, the I See Me! team thought it only best that our youngest get his very own name celebration as well. Getting back to the basics with this, they sent one of their signature storybooks for him to enjoy. Their newest publication, the A-B-C What I Can Be book, is the epitome of cute.
It is perfect for the little ones still learning their names, about themselves, and about the world around them. This book takes kids on a personalized alphabet journey through a number of things that they could do in life. From an Astronaut, Broadcaster, and Captain all the way to Zookeeper, your child can experience a lifetime of adventures personalized for them. Check it out here:
All in all, the I See Me! company is a great place for all of your shopping and/or gifting needs. Whether you want to get a sweet something to enjoy with your own children at home or you want to put a lasting smile on the faces of others, these products are certainly the way to do it.
