My kids love to color. Between school and here at home, I have hundreds of thousands of drawings that I am constantly trying to find new ways to display. The kids are proud of their work and I am certainly all for helping them show off their imaginative creations but, let’s be real, there is only so much space on the refrigerator… and shelves… and tabletops… and walls… You get the point. Without quite literally covering every single free inch of space in your home with one coloring, one painting, or another, it is hard to properly display and enjoy the amazing workings of our children. Until now that is.
Let me ask you, how many of your children also have an abundance of stuffed animals? They tend to take up just as much space as those endless stacks of the children’s artwork if not more. However, of the two, which has more meaning to you; Is it that inexpensive teddy bear from a store shelf with billions of identical counterparts around the world or your child’s one-of-a-kind handmade masterpiece? I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that you’d choose the latter of the two – right? Right.
Thankfully, there are geniuses among us and have finally figured out a way to perfectly combine the two. What would you say if I told you that you can bring your children’s one-of-a-kind artwork to life by way of stuffed creations? Skip the age old store-bought teddy bears. Now, your child can draw his or her OWN teddy bear and watch as it comes to life in the form of a tangible new lovey!
Meet Budsies!
Having witnessed a young child’s evolving creativity and artwork over the years by way her younger sister, the idea for Budsies blossomed and was subsequently brought to life and quite literally so. As opposed to having all of those wacky shaped and advanced illustrations stored away for safe keeping, what if…? Just what if you could turn that artwork, that drawing, into a stuffed animal friend that would last forever?
Yes, now, you can.
Even the youngest ones immediately recognized their own artwork in the stuffed animals and felt a sense of ownership. Their personal pride gave Budsies the top spot among all the other toys. Soon, everyone in the neighborhood wanted to turn their own art into plush toys.
-Budsies, on their beginnings
Children can now enjoy their creations for years to come. Get out of that age old fridge to box routine and truly create something remarkable with Budsies.
Recently my own children were given the opportunity to try their hand at creating their own Budsies. My living room floor and dining room table were covered in artwork for days as both little ones created drawing after drawing trying to come up with the perfect creation that they each wanted to have brought to life. It was a wonderful experience just being able to watch them kick their imaginations into high gear to come up with their very own new friend. This time around, not only would their artwork make the usual rounds of display time on the refrigerator, but they knew that they’d be creating something much more amazing. Take a look.
Our oldest is a big fan of baseball and loved being able to play in our local little league this season. He’s also quite fond of drawing people such as family portraits and loves to put his initials on everything. With two little boys sharing just about every toy in our house, he’s quite adamant about labelling the items that are his and his alone. His Budsies creation would be no different. He’s our leader, our superstar! And this, all of this, made its way into his fancy little piece of artwork.
Our little one on the other hand is our loud one. He’s the goofy little brother that is forever trying to be noticed and get as much attention as possible. His way of doing so is often associated with being loud and fierce, both of which are pretty good qualities if I say so myself. He takes after his momma! And coincidentally enough can easily be likened to a lion. Much like a lion, he plays shy at times but has that inner ferocity to grab life by the horns and take off running.
Our boys’ new Budsies aren’t only an incredible keepsake that they’ll be able to play with, snuggle, and enjoy forever but they are a frozen moment in time that perfectly fit each of my little ones and their personalities at the very moment that each child created them. And best of all, look at how remarkable the final products are!
Made from incredibly soft fabric, the kids absolutely love their new Budsies.
We use all new hypoallergenic materials and adhere to rigorous standards of stitching quality and materials.
I could not be happier with the Budsies brand and the fact that my children have now seen, first hand, that if they put their minds to something, they truly can create anything that their little hearts’ desire. Not only do Budsies provide children with a spectacular way to bring children’s creative masterpieces to life but it allows them the opportunity to have tangible proof that the imagination of a child is a wonderful thing. It is encouragement for all time and plush little buddies – or Budsies – for life!
