How many of you are fans of Nicholas Sparks?
I grew up as an avid reader and quickly found myself buried in one of his books or another. For those of you that don’t read all too often, I am still sure that you know of his work. Let me name a few for you…
Nights in Rodanthe.
Message in a Bottle.
A Walk to Remember.
The Lucky One.
The Notebook.
The Last Song.
Dear John.
Safe Haven.
There is a great list of fabulous films adapted from one of Nicholas Sparks’ novels and, to let you in on a not so little secret, I love them all! While I personally list The Notebook as my favorite of the bunch partially because, well, Ryan Gosling… I am always ecstatic over the next and newest addition to the legacy of Nicholas Sparks’ incredible storylines, novels, and, yes, even films.
The newest film is scheduled for an October 17th release date and with the likes of James Marsden, Michelle Monaghan, Luke Bracey, and Liana Liberato all gracing us with their presence, it is sure to be another must-see movie.
The Best of Me, is based on yet another novel from the amazing acclaimed author – the Nicholas Sparks.
The Best of Me tells the story of Dawson and Amanda, two former high school sweethearts who find themselves reunited after 20 years apart, when they return to their small town for the funeral of a beloved friend. Their bittersweet reunion reignites the love they’ve never forgotten, but soon they discover the forces that drove them apart twenty years ago live on, posing even more serious threats today. Spanning decades, this epic love story captures the enduring power of our first true love, and the wrenching choices we face when confronted with elusive second chances.
As someone who is typically apprehensive for books-turned-movies, there is one exception to that rule and that is most certainly every single one of these awe-inspiring, ridiculously romantic, and wonderfully entertaining film adaptions of Nicholas Sparks’ novels.
The Best of Me is sure to make a quick climb to the top of my all-time favorite movies list and I cannot wait to see it in theaters next month. And, as if that weren’t great enough, one of my most loved bands is featured on the film’s soundtrack! Take a look – and listen! – to Lady Antebellum as they introduce “I Did With You” and The Best of Me.
Swoon worthy, right?

ah I can’t wait!! Love me some James Marsden and a great Nicholas Sparks book. I also have read Nicholas Sparks way before the Notebook became a hit movie.

Not really looking forward to it, but maybe the wife will enjoy it.
