Keep Your Child Safe this Halloween with an Out of Sight Lights Costume – Review

Disclosure review
Halloween is only a couple weeks away.  Does your child have a costume yet?  If not, I want to tell you about a great company, Out of Sight Lights, that makes costumes that are cute and functional.  Each costume comes with over forty LED lights that make the costume stand out in the dark!

The Out of Sight Lights costumes available include a Fairy (sparkling pink or sparkling purple), Butterfly (blue/green or pink/purple), Bumblebee, and Witch.  Each costume is either size 4-6 or size 6-8.  The best part of the costumes though is definitely the lights – they make the costumes both unique and safe!  How great is it that you will be able to spot your child at night, especially when there are a lot of children running around?  There also seems to be a lot of traffic on the road on Halloween night, and a bright costume will be more noticeable to drivers.  And what child does not like to stand out and glow???

We received the Butterfly costume in blue/green.  I was so excited to pull it out of the package, and I wasn’t disappointed – the costume is adorable!  It came with a dress with a pretty blue and green design on the skirt.  The bodice had tulle with a stretchy back, and there is  a layer of blue tulle in the skirt.  There is also a smooth lining so the costume is not scratchy against children’s skin.  It has wings that attach with velcro to the back.  The blue lights are woven throughout the bodice and skirt of the costume and into the wings.  The lights are small enough that they do not add any unnecessary weight to the costume.  All we had to do was put three AA batteries in the battery pack (which then tucks into a special pouch on the inside), and connect the cord to the wings.  Voilà!  The costume is ready for some nighttime trick-or-treating!

My girls love dressing up all the time, and I know they will use the Out of Sight Lights costume year-round.  The only problem I see is them having to share it, so I think I will definitely have to pick up another costume so they can each have one.  The costume appears to be made of quality materials that will not rip or tear easily, so it should withstand plenty of dress-up!  I would suggest some caution in getting in and out of the costume so your child does not pull on any of the light cords.
