Gatekeeper

There is one feature I especially love on my new car – the no key feature. I have a key fob of sorts, that I keep in my purse. If I am in range, I can unlock my doors no problem. If not? The car won’t unlock. It’s so much easier than dealing with keys! Much like my car, there is something like that for computers – Gatekeeper.

GateKeeper is a Wireless Keyfob that you carry on yourself, and a USB Dongle that enables Bluetooth 4 for your computer.

When the Keyfob is in range of the computer, the GateKeeper software authenticates you and lets logs you on. BUT
when the Keyfob moves out of range, the GateKeeper software automatically locks the computer. See how similar this is to my lock system on my car?

The GateKeeper Key and the USB Lock do their communicating using Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology which will authenticate you when you are in range of your computer.

How does GateKeeper work? Here is a video about GateKeeper:

I think it’s really neat that you don’t have to enter your password each time you want to use yoru computer. I LOVE that your computer is secure until you are near it with your Gatekeeper. Private data is encrypted and is stored only on your computer. Nothing private is stored on the GateKeeper, nor transmitted over the air.

It also prevents “lookie loos” from sneaking a peek at your computer when you aren’t around. You never know who might try!

BUY

You can purchase Gatekeeper from the Gatekeeper website for $49.99, or a two-pack for $89.99. This is such a great price for something that will make your life so much easier. Very, very clever! They have a special going on now where you can take 15 percent off of your order – just use the Gatekeeper Discount Code 150FF.

  1. This would be for my brother and he has been helping my parents and this would enable him to be able to get into the computer and not have to worry about others looking into private information.

This would be so great! My brother and his friends are always getting on my computer and looking through my stuff and posting really dumb things. This would make it so much easier to prevent that. Thanks so much for the chance!

  3. It would be nice to have my laptop password protected, but not having to enter that password. Entering the password all the time can get annoying.

  4. I would love to win this to keep our laptop computer protected & I can have the convenience of not entering the password each time!!

  5. This is pretty fantastic. I’d probably give this to one of my children for their college work, but this is perfect to keep private information private in, say, a college / work setting. And not needing to enter a password every time you use it makes working more efficient.

  6. Eileen Richter on

OH my gosh, my husband would love this for travel! I also think would be great to not have to suffer through passwords at home. I forget EVERYthing, especially when having to change the password.

  7. My mom is super protective of her work computer that she brings home for work on the weekends. She has so much personal information regarding her patient’s mental health and their treatment plans. It is imperative that she keep it safe when she isn’t using it.This would be a really great way to keep it safe.

  8. I would love to have this because I frequently walk in and out of my office. With gatekeeper, I don’t have to keep retype my password.

I would love to win one for my college days when I have to stay in dorms. It be a great feeling knowing my computer info is safe.

  10. Marilyn Nawara on

I would be really handy when I go to visit clients at their office — I could step away from my laptop without worrying about some accessing it.

  11. We would love to try out a Gatekeeper: the desktop in our home office is used for our business & email traffic, but our kids still use it…against our wishes (i.e. mess it up !)… despite the fact they have laptops of their own.
