Winning Moves games for family game night
Winning Moves is a leading producer of iconic board games, card games, and handheld puzzles. With a talented group of designers, developers, and marketers, our mission is to provide happiness to consumers by offering classic, retro, cool, and fun games for play with friends and family. Your comments, thoughts, and suggestions have helped us shape the vision of who we are today, and we hope we’ve repaid you by helping make lasting memories for you and your family.
I was asked to review a couple of their games and I was happy to do so! One of my team members, Angela, did a Winning Moves review last year, and I was slightly jealous. Now it was my turn!
I absolutely adore Scattergories, so Scattergories Categories seemed to be a no brainer when it came to choosing.
This unique iteration of the classic game includes all new word challenges. Each round starts with a word and phrase. For instance, the card says “bottles” and “things made out of glass.” You have two minutes to list as many things made out of glass as you can that start with the letters in the word “bottles.” For example, “bowl” for “B,” “orb” for “O,” “teacup” for “T,” and so on. When time is up, players compare their lists and get 1 point for each unique answer.
I also chose Scrabble Tile Lock. This is SO much easier to play than the original game, as the pieces don’t get pushed around when someone makes a word. They stay locked in position. For ages 8 and up, 2-4 players. Just like the classic Scrabble game, this one is the same kind of fun, just with a little less frustration.
With our Tile Lock Scrabble game, Your Scrabble words won’t be slip slidin’ away, thanks to this board’s clever “tile-lock” design. There are also soft pads on its bottom that allow you to effortlessly slide the board across a table or rotate it for a better view. And, the compact size of the board, tiles and racks, make the game ideal for travel. You can play Scrabble in a car, train, plane or boat with no worries.
If you love board games as much as we do, why not take a look at Winning Moves games for family game nights? They have a huge selection and you are bound to find something for everyone on your holiday list!
