Well, I wish I had something really good to tell you that I did today, but it isn’t all that exciting. I slept in a little later than I did yesterday. I decided to go to the Del Monte Shopping Center – they have some great stores. I shopped for awhile then ate lunch at P.F. Changs – yummy. I even started to read a book at lunch – I haven’t been able to get a book started in quite some time now, so that was quite an accomplishment. It seems like a really good book too – which is saying a lot coming from me. If a book doesn’t hold my interest after about three pages, it gets tossed aside.
Last night hubby and I went to Old Fisherman’s Wharf and had the best dinner ever. It was a beautiful restaurant and our table overlooked the water. I cannot resist eating only seafood when I am down here – it is the freshest anywhere.
I did not take a picture of my entire meal, but I did have a cup of yummy clam chowder, and a huge Caesar Salad with grilled shrimp. The shrimp were the biggest I have ever seen. Then for my main course I had seared Scallops (again – they were huge), in a coconut sauce. I was stuffed! Being full did not stop me from meandering into this store, however:
I bought Cotton Candy, and some Peanut Butter Fudge (for hubby), and Walnut Milk Chocolate for myself. I bought Pink Popcorn bricks for my dad – he loves those, but they are so hard to find – so anytime I see them I pick some up for him. Then we watched at the window while this machine made Salt Water Taffy…yum!
I did not take a nap today though – aren’t you proud of me? Perhaps tomorrow I will do some napping. I am also hoping to take a nice drive – maybe 17 Mile Drive – if I am so inspired. I am definitely going to look at the beautiful water tomorrow. I’m hoping hubby will take me to the beach tonight, if he gets back from his meeting early enough.
Hope you are all doing well!
