Also yesterday we went to pick up the official “packet” at my daughter’s school. You know that big huge packet of info and oodles of forms to be filled out? Every…single…year? Geez, our information is exactly the same as it was last year, and the year before, and the year before that. NOTHING has changed. We have the same address, same doctors, same emergency contacts. Our life is pretty simple, really. I wish they would include a form that you could check to indicate that everything is still the same. But no, instead I have to dig out our insurance cards (okay, they are conveniently located in my wallet, but still), find the phone number of an out-of-state contact, look up the doctors address, etc. This was always especially aggravating when I had to fill out the same forms for my son too. I don’t know how moms with more than two kids do this every year – honestly. My hats off to you!
Oh good news – my son brought his comforter home from camping, and it was in great shape, amazingly enough. I didn’t let him take it upstairs…I told him to put all of his “bedding” that he took camping, in the laundry room. I washed his stuff immediately and I am so relieved that they weren’t trashed.
I want to mention how much fun we had here at Eighty MPH Mom on Monday, doing our first “Monday Mingle”. A few of us did short vlogs and signed the linky here on my blog. I am really hoping we will get more participants…will you please think about joining? I would really love to meet you!
I have been cleaning like crazy, since our guests were due to arrive yesterday. I am so, so tired of cleaning. As soon as I finish cleaning something, I immediately notice something else, and something else…it never really seems to end. And then I go back to my starting point, and the kids have already messed it up. I swear, I could clean all day – each and every day – and it would still never be “done”.
The endoscopy test I am having on Monday should be interesting. I have never had this test done before…have you? Is it something I should be worried about? I am hoping they will knock me out. I really am not “into” having a tube/camera stuck down my throat…that just sounds bad.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend – go out and do something fun!
