Bosch Icon Wiper Blades and huge prize pack giveaway

Bosch Storm Chasers

Now that the rainy season is here (at least in California!), it is time to check those windshield wiper blades.  These always seem to be one thing that I forget about until we get the first rain, and my wipers only “swoosh” away part of the water from the windshield.  I just learned about the new Bosch ICON wiper blades, and I really want to try them. What makes them so great? These bracketless wipers are designed without metal or plastic brackets, joints or hinges, which means they’re an improvement over conventional wiper blades. Interesting!

Bosch is holding a contest where one lucky Facebook fan and a guest will win an experience of a lifetime! You can learn all about the contest and also join Reed Timmer (from Discovery Channel’s Storm Chasers) in a series of webisodes that are being shown on the Bosch Facebook page. Current episodes are “Why I Chase” and “The Dominator”.

The third episode (“In The Lab vs. In The Field”) will be available for viewing on January 23rd – make sure you check it out as well!

Bosch Prize Pack

Make sure you enter the Bosch “Chasing the Storm Chasers” Sweepstakes on the Bosch Facebook page. Simply watch the webisode and answer the questions – easy peasy! In addition to the grand prize, there are other wonderful as well – including an iPad 2, iTunes gift cards and more.

Good news! I also have a giveaway at Eighty MPH Mom!

  1. 4 1/2 years ago. Of course, my car doesn’t get driven much, but I’m seeing signs that it’s time to change the blades.

  2. My husband changed my wiper blades about a year ago.
    Thank you!

  3. We changed wiper blades on one of our cars during the summer but on our other car, well, its seriously in need at this point, one blade has started to fall apart and every time I use them I see a piece of the wiper blade flapping by which is a indication that it needs to be replaced, I keep reminding hubby but since he is so busy it hasnt been done yet, going keep after him until he does it!! 🙂

    Thanks for the awesome giveaway

  6. One year ago is when I changed my wipers, I try to purchase new ones every year because they get tired in the heat of the sun.

  7. I haven’t changed my wiper blades yet on my 2008 car! I know I’m overdue….

  8. I changed my wiper blades in October when I put the snow tires on my car. With all the freezing rain this winter so far my blades are already worn and leaving streaks. It seems that my blades are on more than they are off this past month. The weather just won’t quit. I have to drive 3 hours to work each day and I’m sure that is part of the reason my blades are worn already. It’s only been 4 months and I usually only change them twice a year but these ones didn’t hold up so well I guess. Thanks for sharing this very useful review and giveaway.

WOW! My hubby says it’s been over a year ago. We usually change them at least once a year! I was wondering why my window still looked awful, after I used the wiper fluid!

  10. I dont think I have ever personally changed my wiper blades. however, I think they do it during oil changes so about three months ago.

  11. We got our vehicle, a 12 year old van from my hubby’s grandma when she quit driving 2+ years ago. I assume they were new then? But who knows, they could have been 10 years old. Never been changed since we have had the vehicle.

    thanks!

  12. It’s been about a year ago since I last had my wipers changed.

  13. Let’s see the last time I changed my blades? I’d say about a year ago, We soon had to replace them again not a few days latter because the brand we had just wasn’t right. ( they fell apart within a few days!)

  14. last year

  15. I honestly can’t remember when we changed them last, so it’s got to be a couple of years ago.

  16. I changed mine last summer. Before that I got them put on when I got a bunch of stuff done at a tire place & they charged me $40! All I did was agree to have them change them & they didn’t tell me how much or I wouldve said NO WAY!

  17. I actually bought a new car recently since my old one just gave out. So I havent had to change my wiper blades yet. But I would love to update them to these awesome blades if I was lucky enough to win.

I haven’t change them since I bought my car in 09 and do they need it!!! They work fine when it ‘s not raining!!!

  19. I did change mine this past fall. And I’m NEVER happy with my wiper’s performance! I really really really want to try these wipers! I have to change mine rather often- I’m way up north and the weather is super hard on them. And one needs their wipers a lot what with our road spray all winter.

  20. It’s been a couple months since I changed my wiper blades – I am about due for a new pair! Maija M

  21. Wow, it’s been such a long time since I’ve changed wiper blades. It must have been 2 yrs ago on my old car. The Bosch wiper blades seem like they’d be great. I live in California too. I know California is touted as an always sunny state but we do get rain and storms sometimes and I think this would be great so I’d feel confident taking a trip to areas where the weather is worse. I wonder how they’d do in snow.

  22. I changed them so long ago I don’t recall the last time I changed them.

  23. I don’t know the last time I changed my wipers, but I am looking for new ones. I want a kick butt windshield wiper and I’ll be looking these up. THanks!

  24. It’s been so long that I can’t even remember but I do know that I *need* to replace the current blades !

  27. I don’t think I’ve ever changed my wiper blades. My husband has always taken care of it for me. I’m guessing about twice a year?

  28. We’re supposed to change our wiper blades?

Truthfully we have not.. and our blades are AWFUL 🙁

  29. I’ve had my car for 8 years and have never changed them. I do need new ones. Thanks for having this contest!
