Friend Trusted App – Making Home Improvement Easy {Guest review post}

Friend Trusted App

*Partnered guest review post

My life is extremely busy. I am a mother of three, so needless to say I barely have time to feed my kids, take them to school, get myself ready for work, run errands, etc., let alone initiate any home projects that I have been putting off.
One evening while I was browsing the apps on my smart phone, it occurred to me that there must be a app available that could help me tackle one of the oldest things on my home improvement list…find a pro (a plumber specifically) to help me upgrade my ancient shower valve in our bathroom. I typed in the words “home improvement” in the search box of the app store, and Friend Trusted appeared at the top. After seeing the high ratings, I decided to download it and give it a try.

I am glad I did. The app allowed me to easily submit my project, get three competitive quotes very quickly, and finally get the job completed without having to invest loads of time and energy into the process.

After I downloaded the app, I was presented with a very straight forward and easy to use primer that reassured me this was going to be a cakewalk!

I scrolled through the helpful into, then snapped a picture.  Friend Trusted put me in touch with the appropriate pros for the job! Once I got bids, all I needed to do was pick one to come out and do the job.

Feeling confident, I decided to take a picture of the old school shower valves. I inserted a simple description of what type of valves I  would like for the replacement.  I quickly received three estimates from highly rated plumbers and I was sent reminders to my home screen when the bids came in.

Each bid that I reviewed contained the details of what was and wasn’t included in the price. I submitted my project in the afternoon and by the early evening I had three bids to choose from. I chose the one that I felt was the best fit, then clicked schedule appointment and Friend Trusted set everything up (this sure beats playing the dreaded phone tag game!). I chose between two offered times (with only a one hour time window – love that!) and received a confirmation message. It only took me about a total of about 5 minutes of work to set everything up.

A very friendly and knowledgeable plumber from Jc repairs showed up, knocked out the work in about 3 hours, explained his work, and cleaned up. The whole process was as easy as I have ever experienced in dealing with getting a project like this off my list.

Later that day, my dedicated project manager contacted me through the app, via the chat function, to see how my shower valve replacement job was progressing (throughout this whole process their customer service team had always been responsive, and knowledgeable). And I told him that the job was finished and I was thrilled with the result!

Bonus! This is really neat – Friend Trusted even offers cash back when the project is done. All I had to do was rate the provider with a quick review and thumbs up or down.

I have never enjoyed hiring someone to work on my house so much. It was so nice to have a streamlined process that was all handled through my smart phone (the app is available for Androids and iPhones). Due to the ease of this process, and great customer service,I truly believe that the Friend Trusted app will motivate me to take care of my home improvement/repair list much more efficiently.

I could really relate to the women in this video (this is pretty much what I felt like), check out this short video clip:

Have you tried the Friend Trusted app yet?  I’d love to hear what you think!
