*This post is brought to you on behalf of the State Farm Neighborhood Assist program*
I am a very giving person, as many of us are. Quite often, however, I struggle knowing that there is such need for help in my community, and that I cannot help each and every one. There are several ways I want to help, and I plan on doing just that. One thing I would love to do is participate in the upkeep and growth of our community garden that was built to honor the victims of 911. It is such a beautiful memorial, but it needs to be tended to on a daily basis. I have seen the same people working tirelessly in the garden, and I think it’s time that I offer my help to keep the garden as meaningful as it was the day it was created. I would love to do this for my community so that we never forget what happened on that horrible day in 2001. I want to be sure that the children in our community can look at this and be touched and hopefully motivated to help as well.
The State Farm Neighborhood Assist program is pretty spectacular. Their aim is to help important causes in the U.S and in Canada, by offering a very generous $25,000 grant to 40 deserving causes! The causes include women’s health & protection, animal welfare, children’s educational programs, veterans programs and many, many others.
This video explains a bit more about the program:

This is where you come in!
It is easy to help – but time is running out! By simply voting each day (or as often as you are able) through April 22nd, you can make the dreams of 40 dedicated causes come true. They all have big plans for the grant money, and will accomplish some amazing things. When you visit the State Farm Neighborhood Assist programs via the Facebook tab, you can search causes alphabetically, by type or by state. You can vote up to 10 times each day, and you can even vote for different causes in the same day.
I am counting on your help, dear readers! If you can share with your friends and family, it would be very much appreciated. This is something you can feel good about, because you are actually “donating” with just a few clicks of the mouse. State Farm Neighborhood assist is covering the rest 🙂
*I wrote this review while participating in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of State Farm and I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
