Kidde Carbon Moxonide Alarm
Carbon monoxide poisoning is one that that has always terrified me. Fires are another thing that are upsetting to me (probably because our backyard deck caught on fire when I was 3-years old!), but at least we can usually tell when there is a fire by smelling the smoke, or seeing the flames. Smoke alarms are helpful to warn us of fires, but what about something that is silent and invisible?
The difference between smoke/fire and carbon monoxide is that carbon monoxide is odorless, colorless and it has no taste. It can be deadly so quickly and it is the main cause of unexpected poisoning deaths in the United States. I am so relieved to learn about the Kidde Worry-Free Carbon Monoxide alarm – I cannot wait to install it when it arrives! I am also so happy to be partnering with Kidde* to share this very important information with you.
But, one of the most dangerous things you can’t see in your home is carbon monoxide (CO), which can be deadly within minutes. Colorless, odorless and tasteless, CO is the leading cause of unintentional poisoning deaths in the U.S. You must have a working CO alarm to detect carbon monoxide
Did you know?
According to the U.S. Census, While 75% of all homes have a potential source of carbon monoxide – like a water heater, fireplace, furnace, generator or any other fuel-burning appliance – only half of U.S. homes have a working CO alarm.
That is just downright scary. There are several brands of Carbon Monoxide Alarms on the market, but just like regular smoke alarms, they can do the “chirping” thing that can be really annoying.
The good news is that the Kidde Worry-Free Carbon Monoxide Alarm was released this Spring! I absolutely adore the Kidde Worry-Free Smoke Alarm that I reviewed several months ago, so naturally I am thrilled that I can offer my family more protection with an alarm that has a battery that will last for 10 years and won’t chirp unnessarily!
There are two available models of the Kidde Worry-Free Carbon Monoxide Alarm and you can find them at stores such as Home Depot.
