Celebrate Halloween with Your Four-Legged Pals and Big Heart Pet Brands

Meet Eighty MPH Mom’s newest family member!

Randi's New Dog
After what seems like an eternity of searching for the perfect pup to welcome into our family, we finally came across this little cutie. For those of you that know huskies, I’m sure that you know that they’re not typically fond of, well, anything that’s smaller than them. They tend to have a high prey drive and, with a couple of cats and, of course, young children, finding a husky that meshed well with our family was more difficult than we had initially thought. Thankfully, this little guy’s photo popped up on a pet adoption website and, oddly enough, he had a kitten lying on his face. Dog, found! Since welcoming him home and officially into our family, we’ve made a seemingly infinite amount of trips to the local stores’ pet isles and have begun working with him on his training. Thus far, he’s done spectacularly!

However, there is one concern that looms in my mind… Halloween.

You see, for even the best behaved and most well-adjusted dogs, Halloween can be a scary time for them. Imagine it – the furry little protector of your home that is sensitive to sound not only has to deal with an array of walking ghouls and goblins but also the incessant ringing of the doorbell. Now, while I will admit that the amount of ridiculously cute doggy costumes available were certainly tempting, we decided that it’d be best to let our own pup sit this year’s holiday out.

While the tricks may be left out of his Halloween experience this time around, the treats are surely another story. After all, everyone deserves some tasty treats on Halloween. Yes, even the dog!

Thankfully, Big Heart Pet Brands agrees.

You see, Big Heart Pet Brands includes delicious treats like Milk-Bone, Pup-Peroni, and Milo’s Kitchen. Not only are these particular treats a fan (and dog) favorite but they are readily available at a vast majority of retailers across the country. This Halloween, while stocking up on candy for the plethora of trick-or-treaters that are to come, I will be sure to grab some goodies to properly #TreatThePups as well.

Milk-Bone dog treats are a personal favorite of mine. Every dog I have ever had has savored in the delicious goodness of these classic biscuits.

The first dog biscuit treat made in the United States, Milk-Bone gave pet parents a little something to show their dogs how much they care. It was love at first bite.

Or at first bark!

The Milk-Bone product line features so much more than just the classic biscuits that everyone has come to know and love. With dental options as well as soft, crunchy, and chewy variations, in addition to branded gear such as t-shirts, holiday ornaments, and even customized treat boxes, Milk-Bone is surely one of the top choices for truly making your pet’s day “pawsome!”

As for Pup-Peroni, the first thing that comes to mind for me (aside from the treats themselves) is that adorable “Dogs Speak to Us” commercial! It gets me every time!

Pup-Peroni brand celebrates the special one-of-a-kind connection we share with our four-legged best friends. We love Pups, and we want to give them tender treats in tasty flavors they’ll love. That’s why we make Pup-Peroni dog snacks with more real beef and a mouthwatering aroma that dogs simply can’t resist.

Dogs just know.

They know that they love their treats. They know that they love us. And, more importantly, they know how much we love them!

Milo’s Kitchen is probably my favorite of the bunch.

Our dogs aren’t just the four-legged members of our family. They’re family. That’s why we created Milo’s Kitchen dog treats. Because, in our kitchen, our dogs deserve only the best. That means treats with 100% real chicken or beef as the #1 ingredient.

After all, dogs are family. They certainly deserve to be treated as such.

Made right here in the USA, Milo’s Kitchen dog treats are available in six different flavors that your dog is sure to love. A fall favorite for my own pup is the Steak Grillers Recipe. Really though, who could pass up a great steak?!

Who knew that doggy dress-up could translate into some dough?!

We’ll be opting out of the festivities this year since our own pup is still getting used to leashes and harnesses. I have a good feeling that he wouldn’t be too fond of our superhero theme this year. I could imagine him, quite literally, taking off in an up, up, and away (real fast) manner! But, that just means better chances for you!

This year, we will be focusing more so on the ways that we can make Halloween an enjoyable and safe holiday for our new four-legged pal. With the Big Heart Pet Brands collection of tips and tricks for the season, we are sure to be a-okay. Check out some of my own favorite tips below.
