Introducing Darkside Ollie – The App Controlled Robot!

Disclosure review
It’s not often that my kids fight over a toy. It must be something pretty amazing for that to happen – and it has! The Darkside Ollie has both of my children hooked!

From Go Sphero, Darkside Ollie is the newly launched, special edition app-controlled robot engineered for speed. Plus, Darkside Ollie has some pretty amazing tricks!

Darkside Ollie rolls at speeds of up to 14 mph. It’s all controlled by your device – in our case my iPhone, Johnny’s iPhone and Paige’s iPod via Bluetooth with a range of up to 100 feet.

Darkside Ollie
We’ve had a lot of fun with it!  I’m impressed with the battery life – a full charge will allow for over an hour of drive time.

My video isn’t great, but this is Paige’s favorite trick.  I wish we could have demonstrated outside – with more room it’s amazing to watch the Darkside Ollie go!  There was an app update recently, we can now give Ollie a custom color theme – or in Paige’s case pick a flashing LED color pattern called Black Magic.  She’s had so much fun using Ollie to pull off some sweet moves and tricks.  If it ever quits raining, we plan on taking Ollie outside and putting him to the test, too!

Darkside Ollie would make a great gift for Father’s Day, which is right around the corner!

Darkside Ollie retails for $149.99 at Go Sphero where you’ll also find Ollie and the Sphero.
