#GetHomeFaster with the New TomTom GO 500/600 Review and Giveaway

disclosure sponsored post
One of my favorite things about summer vacation is road trips.  We spend a lot of time out on the open road. Nebraska has some amazing highways and sights to see when it comes to day trips. We family on the eastern end of the United States, we prefer driving as it gives us time to bond. Let’s not forget out bi-weekly trek for groceries! Even though I love traveling in the car and spending time with my husband and kiddos road tripping, I despise traffic! Traffic is absolutely no way to spend bonding, it’s stressful on everyone. Thanks to TomTom, I’m gaining that time back with the real-time traffic data that informs me of excessive traffic or road blocks and suggestions of alternate routes. Plus, the new MyDrive technology allows me to utilize my time by planning my route on my phone and sending it to the TomTom Go 500/600.

I briefly mentioned grocery shopping – we get groceries in a town located 100 miles away. Mostly because we prefer the selection and quality offered at that particular grocery store. If you are familiar with Nebraska, then you’ve probably heard the summer season simply called Road Construction. It’s maddening! At the same time, I completely understand the need to upkeep the roadways.

That said, TomTom’s database covers 99.9% of the roads with real-time, live traffic maps. The navigation experience is a dream with the interactive screen. With the tap of the screen it’s easy to create a new route or destination. Have I mentioned the real-time incidents? Road closure, no problem! Road construction, I’ll bypass that.

TomTom Map
With MyDrive I can search for my destination when it’s convenient for me, send it directly to my TomTom GO device and once I get in my car I’m ready to hit the road as the route is waiting for me, forget stopping to reroute or search for directions! The TomTom Traffic is free for all owners of the new TomTom GO and the MyDrive app is available on both iOS and Android devices.

TomTom GO 600
TomTom’s database covers 99.9% of the roads, that’s more than any other navigation service out there!  That means you’ll have accurate road maps and traffic updates.

The TomTom GO 500 is a 5” model that retails for $199.99 and the TomTom GO 600 model is 6″ and retails for $249.99.  It comes with an adhesive disk, compact car charger and a click & go mount.

I’d love to know what you would do with the extra time you would save on the road if you could navigate around traffic to get to your destinations faster – read a book, watch a movie, just hang out with the family?

  1. How awesome is the new TomTom! I had one several years ago until my car got broken into in Atlanta. Since then I have relied on my phone but it is not always the easiest. I would make more time for the pool when I save so much time with this new TomTom! This would be alot considering I rely on navigation so much!

  2. This is so awesome! Our navi is so outdated – would love this! I would rather spend more time with my kiddos or just relaxing instead of sitting in traffic.
