Birch Benders Pancakery Pancake and Waffle Mixes

Birch Benders Pancakery

I have always adored waffles and pancakes, especially since I have the good old family recipes that I treasure so much. The problem is, I don’t always have time to make these from scratch. The other problem is that most pancake mixes I have tried just are not good – they taste like, well, “just mixes”. Many of them require so many other ingredients that I might as well make them from scratch. But all of that has changed for me recently – I discovered Birch Benders Pancakery Pancake & Waffle mixes!

I received several Birch Benders pancake & waffle mixes but the first flavor I tried was the original. I wanted to try this first so I can see how the other flavors stack up. We have been eating lots and lots of pancakes 🙂

They couldn’t have been easier to make – simply add water. Now THAT is my kind of easy. I wondered how they would taste since all I was adding water though.

I needn’t have worried they were so, so tasty. My husband took a few pancakes off the plate as I was making them and said several times, “Man, those are really GOOD!”.  He was right. I put a little butter and syrup on my stack and oh my…heavenly.  Honestly, they tasted like home made all the way.  I would be proud to serve these to guests!

I couldn’t WAIT until they were done.  When I had the griddle temperature just right, I added the batter and they started bubbling right away. They cooked evenly and were perfect.

We enjoyed all of the flavors that we tried – the Birch Benders Chocolate Chip flavor being our 2nd favorite, followed by the Six Grain Cinnamon pancake mix.

What I absolutely love is that they have a mix that is gluten-free, one that is paleo friendly and of course one loaded with protein. The Paleo mix is really good too, which is good for those on a low carb or Paleo diet. They are non-GMO (yay!) and most are organic.

Where to buy:
You can find Birch Benders Pancakery mixes at certain retail stores, including Whole Foods. They can also be purchased online on the Birch Benders website.

Just think how easy it would be over the holidays, to have breakfast figured out for overnight guests. You can spend more time visiting and less time cooking!

I am going to have to keep an eye out for these mixes. I make my own most pancake or waffle mix from scrath too, but if I can find a really good mix I am all about shortcuts.

Family Breakfast Saturday morning has always been a big deal in my family. But as my kids are getting into Saturday sports and things are getting busy, finding time to prepare the meal has become more of a challenge. These mixes sound like a wonderful way to keep our family tradition and still enjoy pancakes for a family meal!

  19. Tammera Campbell on

Had the Paleo pancakes Thanksgiving weekend. One of the kids is lactose intolerant and they were delicious. Can’t wait to try another variety.

I used to make LOTS of pancakes for my half dozen kids. At least once a week I’d make breakfast dinner! About 7 years ago I went gluten free and quit making so many pancakes. All those years and I have never once bought a gluten free product…I just go without when I make them. After hearing this rave, I really would try this brand. Thanks!!!
