The Little Elephant Who Wants to Fall Asleep – #FallAsleepwithElephant
One of my favorite things to do when my kids were little was reading them a book at bedtime. Luckily both of my children loved this time as well, and it is something I will always treasure. We had our favorites – some books they liked better than I did, and vice versa. But whatever book we read, we were snuggly, happy, and settled in for the night, ending the day on a good note. Unfortunately my kids were too old when The Rabbit Who Wants to Fall Asleep was published, and the same is true of The Little Elephant Who Wants to Fall Asleep. I am especially sad that these two books weren’t around when my daughter was a little one, as she DID NOT like to sleep. Like ever. Maybe these books would have helped?
Our favorite children’s books:
~The Napping House
~Oh My Baby, Little One
~The Giving Tree {my mom used to read this to me too!}
~What Daddies Do Best/What Mommies Do Best
~Corduroy
~Moose on the Loose
And of course now there are a couple of new ones to add, that will be favorites as well:
~The Little Elephant Who Wants to Fall Asleep
~The Rabbit Who Wants to Fall Asleep
The Little Elephant Who Wants to Fall Asleep is an easy book to love. The lead character, the elephant (Ellen), is absolutely adorable! The book is beautifully illustrated too (by illustrator by Sydney Hanson).
Little Elephant Who Wants to Fall Asleep the new book features Ellen the Elephant, who is on a journey through a magical forest that leads to sleep. Along the way, she meets different fantastical characters and has soothing experiences that are meant to help children relax and slip quickly into slumber. The book also includes tips from author Carl-Johan Forssein Ehrlin, for using the techniques successfully.
From the author of The Rabbit Who Wants to Fall Asleep, the New York Times and international bestseller that parents have been raving about — the new book features all-new child-tested, parent-approved techniques to reclaim bedtime and provide a sweet and tender end to each day.
Swedish author Carl-Johan Forssén Ehrlin’s first book for children, The Rabbit Who Wants to Fall Asleep (2015), was a runaway success, with international sales exceeding 1.6 million copies and widespread media attention for its reported success in lulling children to sleep by employing positive-reinforcement techniques to promote relaxation.
With his second picture book, The Little Elephant Who Wants to Fall Asleep, the author again wants to help children fall asleep. Thank goodness! He also wants to improve families’ bedtime routines with brand new techniques which are child-tested and parent-approved.
