It has been almost a month since Eighty MPH Mom changed hands. My husband and I are still learning the ropes, but we finally felt like we could sit down and introduce ourselves.
My name is Laura and my husband is Kyle. We have been working behind the scenes (mostly) to get up to speed running Eighty MPH Mom.
What we are doing here
You will no doubt notice some of our adolescent attempts at new content, but we hope you enjoy the direction we are headed in. While honoring the “foodie” heritage we also hope to share some practical things we have learned over time.
My husband is a numbers guy so he will share some things in his wheel house. While spending most of his career helping companies spend better, he has accumulated a lot of tips and tricks that can be used in personal finance.
I am a health and wellness professional with background in physical therapy, corporate wellness, pregnancy wellness, and have been helping individuals with a variety of backgrounds take back their health. I thrive on researching the latest functional medicine learnings and love finding new ways to incorporate health and wellness into our lives.
To top it all off, we both love food and found Eighty MPH Mom had a little of everything we could build on!
A little about us
We have been married for nearly 10 years and welcomed our second little girl into the world last year. Both of us grew up in middle America and met in college. We have both been in the corporate world for more than 10 years and wanted an outlet to share things we have learned.
One thing you will see, as with everything in life, is we learn over time and it builds on itself. A message we hope to convey when we share things. Especially as it relates to health and wellness topics. Nothing we share today is something we did 10 years ago. Some won’t even be things we did last year or can even bring ourselves to do yet! All of it has been and is a learning and growing experience together.
Together we have experienced the trials of trying to find jobs, get healthier, have children, raise children, and in general trying to live “the dream.”
What to expect
Keep a look out for new content. We’ve already hit the ground running with several new recipes and some partnered content. Look for our tips and tricks throughout the year as we add to and enhance the great content on Eighty MPH Mom.
