Bring Some Style to Your Pets with Up Country Pet Accessories

I know I talk about my daughters a lot in my posts, but there are two other very special little females in my life – my fabulous and furry golden retrievers, Callie and Abbie.  With all the excitement around this time of year, buying presents for the children and other family members, and getting ready for Christmas, it is easy to forget that our dogs need (and certainly enjoy!) new things as well.

Up Country makes all sorts of fun accessories for your pets, including collars, leads, harnesses, toys, treats, apparel, and pet beds, all in a variety of styles and colors.  I received two collars and two leads for my dogs to review.

I first had to choose the designs I wanted for the collars and leads.  The selection available is amazing.  I sat there for twenty minutes, going back and forth between which ones to get because there were so many that I liked!  Finally, I chose the All Hearts design  and the Black and Whit Dot design.

Up Country makes a few different styles of collars, and I received the regular Dog Collars.  You can get these collars either narrow (5/8″) or wide (1″), and they come in sizes ranging from XS to XXL.  Since my dogs are bigger, we got the collars in L wide, which fits dogs with a 15-21″ neck.  The collars are adjustable, which was good because I had to loosen it a little for one dog and tighten it for the other dog.  The material and buckle appear to be strong and durable, which is nice for dogs like mine who wear their collars all the time.

There are also different types of leads available from Up Country.  I got the regular Leads to match the collars.  These leads also come narrow or wide, and are available in either 4′ or 6′ lengths.  You can even get double-sided leads with the design on both sides.  I got the wide 6′ leads for my dogs.  They are made of the same strong material as the collars.

We have always used retractable leashes in the past, but after using the Up Country leads, I much prefer those!  My problem with retractable leashes is that they can be difficult to handle, especially when my dogs see a rabbit or a squirrel and take off, as it is then hard to get the leash locked to hold them back.   With the Up Country leads, you do not have that problem.  The leads are long enough to allow my dogs to walk comfortably at their own pace, but not too long so they can be easily controlled if necessary.  Plus, the matching collars and leads look so cute together!
