There is something so fascinating to me about having original home decor in my house. Sure, we can all get the same things at any box retailer, but to find something unique is really special. I had a blast looking around on the Novica website – I probably spent way too much time there but I just couldn’t pull…myself….away. I debated between decor for my garden, or an interesting piece for inside my home. After much internal debating, I finally settled on this beauty {Novica Ceramic Candleholder Harmonious Light – Medium}:

The first thing I noticed was how beautifully wrapped the candle holder was.  Next I read about the artist {Rodrigo Garcia} who created this beautiful work of art, on the information card.  When I unwrapped the masterpiece, I immediately fell in love with the hand crafted, colorful candle/tealight holder that I could proudly call my own. This is a piece of art that I am going to treasure forever, no matter what house I live in.  It will be a part of my home always.    I couldn’t wait to light it and it was even more stunning.  I have to tell you a short story.  This candle holder couldn’t have arrived at a better time – our electricity went out one night, and of course our flashlights were either hard to find or out of batteries. I remembered this and grabbed some tealights that I keep in a bag, set them in the candle holder, and we had instant light!

Working with red clay and natural pigments, Rodrigo García creates a candleholder of original beauty. He crafts it by hand, painting daisies inside diamonds. The candleholder is designed for three standard tealights (not included).

I can’t even begin to tell you about all of the wonderful pieces that Novica carries.  They have hand-crafted rugs, vases, furniture, handmade jewelry (including some fabulous earrings!), paintings and much, much more!  I think when we retire and get our dream home, I am going to fill it with unique artison decor from Novica.  I am definitely going to keep Novica in mind for gifts too – there really is something for everyone at Novica.  I would rather give original, artisan gifts, than a run of the mill present.  They even have corporate gifts!
