Celebrate good dental health with Arm & Hammer!

Good dental health.  I am diligent – are you?

We have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on dental bills over the years. If you have teens, you are probably very familiar with how expensive it is to care for your kids’ teeth. Don’t even get me started on braces! When I was a teen, it was standard to get one set of braces {if you needed them}, but these days it seems to be the “norm” for kids to need two sets of braces, a couple of years apart. Yep – that is double the cost.

Luckily we have great dental insurance, which pays for half of the cost of braces, but our out-of-pocket costs are still through the roof.  When you also factor in fillings, retainers {for after braces are removed!}, crowns, etc., the dental bills really add up.

My parents always took me to the dentist, and taught me how to care for teeth.  I started seeing a dentist when I was 3-years old, for cleanings and regular checkups.  This is so important, and I have done the same with my kids.  I started taking them to the pediatric dentist at age 3.  They have had the best dental care and I am proud to say that they both have beautiful teeth!

Obviously, there is care that needs to be taken at home too, in between those dental visits.  This is why I try to find the best dental products out there. I don’t skimp on toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, etc.  We have tried several brands and we all have our favorites.  The fortunate thing is that a good toothpaste doesn’t have to cost a lot.  I also prefer to choose brands I am familiar with.  I have been using Arm & Hammer Advance White Brilliant Sparkle toothpaste for several weeks now, and I love it!  I will continue using it, and the rest of my family will too.

What are you experiences with dental care for you and your family?  Does your family go for regular 6-month dental checkups/cleanings?  Have your kids worn braces?

To celebrate taking good care of your teeth, I have a $25 Visa gift card to give away to one lucky reader!
