How excited are you for Friday? In case you don’t know what I am talking about The Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games is on Friday night. Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated with the Olympic games and their athletes. Procter & Gamble celebrated and sent off three-time Olympian and World Champion Water Polo Player Brenda Villa, as she and her mom, Rosario, head off to the London 2012 Olympic Games on June 24th at an LA Costco.
Rosario Villa, a Mexican immigrant, didn’t have the opportunity as a child to learn to swim and she was determined that her children would know how. Little did she know that those early swimming lessons so many years ago might result in the greatest contribution ever to U.S. women’s water polo. This year will be Brenda Villa’s 4th trip to the Olympics. Amazing!
Rosario says “Encourage them, support them and allow them to follow their dreams. Make sure you give them the confidence to follow their own values and beliefs and stay true to themselves.” I’ll bet that Brenda is so thankful for having such a supportive mom.
