Victoria Fine Foods Pasta Sauce Where Ingredients Come First

Victoria Pasta Sauces,food,

My family loves Italian food.  It is easy to make, you can make a lot at one time (leftovers are the best!), and it is something that everyone in my family will eat.  We usually have some type of Italian food every week – our favorites are spaghetti, lasagna, pizza, ravioli, and stuffed pasta shells.

Every time I go grocery shopping, I look for a new flavor of pasta sauce to try with our Italian meal of the week.  And every time, I am disappointed by the lack of variety at the store and end up grabbing the same kind we had the week before.  That is why I was so excited to try some pasta sauces made by Victoria Fine Foods.  I was sent five different sauces – Tomato Basil, Vodka Sauce, FraDiavolo, Chianti Wine Marinara, and Roasted Garlic.

One night, I used the Tomato Basil sauce to make lasagna.  The sauce was full of flavor (you could definitely taste the basil!) and we all enjoyed the lasagna.

Another night, I made spaghetti with the Roasted Garlic sauce.  I love anything with garlic, and the sauce did not disappoint!  Of course, my family loved it as well!

Victoria Fine Foods claims that “ingredients come first” and that is absolutely true for its pasta sauces.  The pasta sauces are slow kettle-cooked in order to maintain their flavor and homemade taste.  You could tell that the sauces were made with fresh ingredients, which are listed on the front of the jar.

I compared the ingredients in the Victoria Fine Foods pasta sauce to another brand of pasta sauce, and the difference was incredible.  The Victoria Fine Foods pasta sauce was made with 100% Italian tomatoes, imported olive oil, fresh garlic, basil, onions, sea salt, and spices – no preservatives, water, or paste.  The other brand’s ingredients included tomato puree (water and tomato paste), dehydrated garlic and onions, and citric acid.  That certainly doesn’t sound fresh to me!

I am looking forward to trying the other varieties of pasta sauce that I received, and I am sure they will be just as delicious. Check out all of the goodness Victoria Fine Foods has to offer and connect with them on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

  1. We love ravioli, spaghetti and lasagna in our house. Ravioli is the favorite. I would love to try these sauces, they sound wonderful. Thanks!

  2. I love pasta shells stuffed with a ricotta-spinach mixture, with lots of mozzarella, and baked with white sauce and tomato sauce.

  3. My favorite is probably lasagna, but I love any kind of Italian food. My family can put away a pan of lasagna pretty fast.

  4. Correction: I think the last comment had the wrong e- mail address:

My favorite Italian dish is a toss up between Chicken Marsala and lasagna. Too hard to choose between them!

  5. tortellini! although i love all pasta, that is my favorite. it was the first meal my husband cooked me, actually, & he is an amazing cook. he did it with chicken tortellini in a marinara sauce. the old spaghetti factory has spinach tortellini in Alfredo sauce which is also wonderful. yummmm

  6. I love Italian food, especially those wonderful fish dishes, but I have a ginormous crush on Italian white wines. They’re so well made, and so affordable.
