Dance Along with “Prima Princessa Presents The Nutcracker” DVD

My girls love dancing.  It does not matter what they are doing, whenever they hear music, they instantly get up and dance.  It’s like a dance party at our house all the time!

That is why I was so excited to receive the “Prima Princessa Presents The Nutcracker” DVD.  What better way for my girls to start the Christmas season than by watching this classic holiday story and dancing along at the same time?

We put on our tutus and tights, and we were ready for some dancing!  The DVD started off with an introduction from the Prima Princessa fairy.  We then watched Acts 1 and 2 of The Nutcracker story, performed by the Birmingham Royal Ballet from England.  The Prima Princessa fairy narrated the story, which made it easy for my girls to follow along with what was happening.

There were three breaks in the story, where we were able to get up and learn some ballet moves.  My oldest daughter really enjoyed this part.  She learned the passé, glissade, and sauté, and she loved practicing them over and over.  She was even practicing her moves a few days later!

I really enjoyed the “Prima Princessa Presents The Nutcracker” DVD.  I love the story, the music is great, and it is so much fun to watch the dancing.  It was also fun to get my girls up to dance (something they already love doing)!
