Handcrafted and Natural, Soft Star Shoes Review

I have a love of shoes. There, I’ve said it out loud. Not that it was any secret, especially if you are privy to my closet.

Recently, I was introduced to Soft Star Shoes. Soft Star Shoes are handcrafted, made in a shoe workshop in Corvallis, Oregon. Made to order, with only natural formaldehyde-free leather colored with non-toxic food grade dye.

Let’s not forget adorable!

I like to run around barefoot, my feetsies like to be free but it’s not always possible. That’s what flexible shoes that allow for natural movement and foot function appeal to me so much.

I had the chance to try out a pair of burgundy and cholcolate Roo Moccasin Soft Star Shoes. Made from a soft suede upper and a strong suede sole with a genuine sheepskin innersole…talk about comfort! From running around the house to slipping them on at work (oh yes I do!) The Roo Moccasin retails for $72.00.

I like these shoes because I can wear them indoors or out (as long as it’s dry!). With the addition of sheepskin, my feet stay warm and the generous sizing allows for wear with or without socks.  Some of the Moccasins are completely customizable too – wide or narrow feet, no problem!  This is the first shoe that doesn’t bother my surgery scar on my foot.

Soft
I’ll admit, I was a tad bit apprehensive about how they would wear and as it turns out, I didn’t need to worry at all! Suede is naturally durable and non-skid and over time the leather will only get softer. Nice.

If the Moccasin look isn’t your favorite, never fear! Soft Star Shoes have a selection for men, women, kids and baby!

Perhaps my favorite thing about Soft Star Shoes is the ability to design your own shoe! That’s right! Choose your favorite color, materials and motifs! Check out Soft Star Shoes on Facebook – each week they will feature one DYO (Design-Your-Own) Shoe of the Week.

  2. My little niece who is 8 really could be a MasterChef junior in the making. I am blown away at some of the recipes and meals she thinks of.

  3. My son loves to cook a lot of different dishes. But I do not think he is a MasterChef in the making. He cooks good though!

  4. My kids love to help me in the kitchen! We love watching this show, but none of us are fancy chefs like these kids, they blow me away with their talent!

  5. These shoes look so comfortable and I think that my son and I would love to own a pair and wear as slippers.

  6. These shoes look so comfortable! I really like that you’re able to completely design them and they’re made to specifically fit your foot. Such a cool idea! Thank-you for the information & review!

  7. I love these. As soon as I get home I kick off my shoes and just run around in socks. These would be great to wear around the house.
