As a mother of a teenage boy who works out regularly at the gym, I often worry about steriod use. My son is a good kid, and I don’t think he would ever try them, but sometimes kids will try things due to peer pressure or just to “fit in”. I am sharing this message with you today, so you, too, can be aware of steroid use in your own children, and other children you know and love.
The USOC (United States Olympic Committee) and the Ad Council have teamed up on the “Don’t Be an Asterisk” campaign to encourage young athletes to stay away from steroid use:
