CITIZEN PIP REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY

citizenpip giveaway

School has started {or will be starting shortly in some areas}, and it is time to think about packing lunches for the kids. Sometimes a bagged lunch will work, but what if you want to send cut up fruit or something with juice? It can be frustrating if they can’t open a little can of peaches, and it is also wasteful to eat the contents and throw the cans away. Citizenpip is a really neat company I discovered recently with some pretty amazing products.  Citizenpip just rolled out their Fall 2010 line, and I am quite impressed!

Inspired by the belief that making small changes in your daily habits can make a significant impact, Citizenpip® offers muck-free reusable lunch gear that makes it easy to pack a waste-free lunch.
Created by a mom of three who found herself packing and tossing out a few too many plastic baggies one day, Citizenpip® offers an easy alternative to the disposable lunch. By making it easy to pack a waste-free lunch, our goal at Citizenpip® is to encourage more families to ditch the disposables and go reusable.
And at Citizenpip®, waste-free goes hand in hand with muck-free – no lead, BPA, or phthalates. Who wants to worry about chemicals leaching into their food? Designed in California and responsibly manufactured in Asia, Citizenpip® products are tested by a CPSIA certified lab to be completely muck-free.
With a complete line of reusable, muck-free lunch gear and kits, Citizenpip® makes it fun for kids and easy for parents to ditch the disposables and go reusable. We hope Citizenpip® inspires families everywhere to make a small change and a huge impact.

Citizenpip has several designs to choose from. My daughter chose this design for our Citizenpip starter set review:

The design was super cute. The insulated lunch bag is very sturdy! Inside were a stainless-steel waterbottle and four containers in varying sizes. They are mighty cute. My daughter and I both love how easy the containers are to open and how practical they are.  One of the containers is for a sandwich and the others can be used for crackers, fruit, cookies – just about anything!   The best part?  They are “muck-free”.  All the yucky materials that are used in some reusable containers are not used in Citizen Pip containers.  I know they are safe for my kids, and that is extremely important to me.  We found the containers to be airtight, really easy to clean,  and her food did not get “smooshed”. Did I mention how lightweight their products are? They are super lightweight. The days of old, heavy, lunch boxes are gone {thank goodness!}. I sure wish Citizenpip was around when I was school-aged. I feel good knowing that my kids will be bringing home their containers for reuse, instead of contributing to our landfills.

Whether you are just getting into the habit of packing a waste-free lunch, or supplementing your current waste-free gear, the Starter Kit gives you a solid headstart for packing a waste-free lunch. If your kid loves turkey and cheese, or can’t live without PB&J, this is the kit for you. Kind of like food armor, the square sandwich container protects your sandwich from being squished. Don’t be surprised though if you find yourself using the square container for something other than sandwiches. Absolutely airtight and leakproof, these containers can handle anything from fruit salad to yogurt! Three smaller containers perfectly fit sides and snacks.

If you want only a few certain pieces from Citizen Pip, you can order just those. There are lots of options, in lots of colors and styles. Available as a complete lunch system or as individual items, their products are color coordinated and sized to fit together nicely, but flexible enough to accommodate other containers and food items – you can even throw a banana or apple in there! In addition to the starter kit, Citizen Pip has utensils, food jars and more!

  1. I couldn’t find what the mandatory entry is. I like the polka dots lunch box.

  2. I checked out their other kits and I think If given a choice for choosing something else, I’d like to get the reusable lunch bags , I prefer these bags over the regular ole brown bags, my choice would be the bag with the place to add your own personalized name it looks cute,
    thanks for the great giveaway

  3. I like the polka dots set and would really like to try the containers; they look like they would stay closed but be easy enough for kids to open and close.

  4. I would for sure choose the Starter Kit: Skull Style for my son! An I also love the INSULATED FOOD JAR, that would be great to pack up soups or Spaghetti-Os!

  5. I would pick either the polka dot starter kit or the Patchwork starter kit! I love both of them!

  6. I would absolutely choose the “Skull Style” which is funny because it is the on you pictured!
