My daughter and I are having a wonderful time here in Santa Cruz, California. Â It is so fun to spend some “girl time” with her. Â When we arrived on Tuesday, we headed over to the Boardwalk, where she went on a few rides. Â We took a walk on the Pier and got a few goodies at a yummy store.
Yesterday we went shopping in downtown Santa Cruz – what a fun place! Â The stores there weren’t run of the mill, which made it extra exciting. Â We went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk after that, where Liz went on a few rides. Â Of course I had to have a corn dog mmm.
Then we went down to the beach to dip our toes in the sand. Â The weather has been gorgeous here!
These cute little birds were running in and out with the waves…I was fascinated.
We came back to our room and cleaned up, then we drove to the Pier to have dinner. Â We walked over five miles yesterday – and I sure do feel it today. Â OUCH.
Today we are going to do much of the same. Â We are going to go into a few shops on the Pier, head to the Boardwalk and spend more time on the beach.
If you are looking for fun beach vacation spots in California, Santa Cruz is definitely one of them!

Wow, Santa Cruz looks really cool! We are talking about going up north to visit my sister in Santa Rosa this summer, I should try to talk my mom into a day there.
