It’s National Coffee Day! Cheers!
Coffee is my beverage of choice, from first thing in the morning to a cup of decaf in the evening, coffee gets me through the day.
Since I’m a Keurig girl, I had the chance to try out the Keurig OfficePro brewer from Staples as well as all of the fixings! Coffee, creamer, sweetener, you name it.

One of my favorite morning delectable to enjoy with a fresh brewed cup of coffee is Maple-Pecan Scones. The recipe belongs to one of my favorite people, The Pioneer Woman. I not only own all of her cookbooks, but gift them frequently. The scones are probably my favorite ever.
Maple-Pecan Scones
Ree Drummond
Scones:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound (2 sticks) unsalted butter, chilled
1/4 cup pecans, plus more for sprinkling
1 large egg
3/4 cup heavy cream
1 pound confectioners’ sugar
1/4 cup whole milk
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
Splash of strongly brewed coffee
Dash of salt
2 teaspoons maple flavoring or maple extract

When you get it right, it’s worth it! Even though I made a huge mess, I’d make these scones over and over again. Enjoy with a cup of your favorite coffee, it’s a treat.

Another favorite recipe, it’s quite simple it’s your favorite fresh brew coffee and Bailey’s or Carolands. Simply add a shot or two to your cup. It’s the perfect dessert!
