Thousands lit up social media in anger this week to put The Queen of Talk, Oprah Winfrey and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on blast over requests for Maui donations.

The pair announced their recently launched charity called “People’s Fund of Maui” via Instagram to help those effected by the historic Maui fires that devastated the island earlier this month.

Turns out people don’t like when the uber wealthy of society beg for funds from everyday people struggling to make ends meet.

Winfrey and “The People’s Champ” kicked off their cause with a $10 Million Dollar donation.
Oprah is considered a part-time Maui resident, owning more than 1,000 acres of land there.
“I know a lot of people out there … are just having a hard time trusting where the money goes,” Johnson said.
