I have been in Manhattan Beach (L.A.) since yesterday and I just wanted to share with you what I have been doing! I am here for the Bloggers Brunch which was hosted by Childs Play Communications and Team Mom Media. I flew down yesterday (have I mentioned how much I dislike flying?) and checked into the Shade Boutique Hotel. It is a really neat hotel – there is even a huge spa tub in the middle of the room.
I finally got to meet my good buddy Kari from A Giveaway Addicted Mommy. It really is fun to meet online friends in person, and she was exactly how I expected she would be. She is hilarious and just full of energy (and gorgeous HMPH). She actually stayed with me in my room last night, along with Amanda
(Mommy Mandy – who is a sweetheart!). We went out to dinner, tweeted together and giggled a lot.
This morning we went to Starbucks and took a walk down to beautiful Manhattan Beach. It really was breathtaking. We went on the pier for a bit, then headed back up the hill. Valerie from Sweeps4Bloggers called me and we met her half way. She was with Rita from One 2 Try. What a nice group of ladies to hang out with! I’ve been anxious to meet Valerie and she really is just so sweet – I just love her!
We went to Bloggers Brunch and it was fabulous! We met some nice reps and a few other bloggers. After, we came back to the room for a bit and then strolled the Farmers Market which was right outside of my room. I had a hard time saying goodbye to my friends, but I know I will see them all again…some of them at BlogHer.
Though I have had a wonderful time, I am really excited to get home. I haven’t been there much lately it seems, and I miss my family something terrible.
