Cooking is not really my speciality and I think my family will attest to that. I try, I really do but it’s just not something I love doing. However, I LOVE the eating part so having recipes and foods that are delicious and easy to make are a must. Now with my kids back to school, having recipes that I can whip up and still have time for homework and all the other things that need to happen is so important.
Enter Dinnerly. Dinnerly is an affordable meal delivery service and they help make weeknight meal planning & cooking so much easier. At just $5/person per meal, Dinnerly is also the most affordable meal delivery service around. Simple, fresh ingredients delivered right to your door and recipes your family will love…that’s a huge help for any Mom! A simpler approach makes it easier on you: digital recipe cards instead of paper, fewer ingredients per dish (which means less chopping and cleaning) and simple packaging!
Our box was delivered to our door and we dove right in. All the meats and perishable foods were kept cold with ice packs in the box, which was great because it was delivered on a 100°+ day at our house. We placed everything in the fridge & couldn’t wait to start with our first dinner.
Each week, new recipes are available to order & you can see the menu before you order. You don’t have to order every week…skip weeks that you’re going to be out of town or maybe you aren’t a fan of the menu that week. That’s ok! Dinnerly lets you skip a week and order again when it works for you.
There are two boxes that you can choose from: the Two-Person Box comes with 2 portions per recipes, 3 recipes per week for $38.99 (including shipping). The Family box is 4 portions per recipe, 3 recipes per week for $68.99 (including shipping).
For some of the recipes, you will need simple ingredients like oil, salt and pepper, but you can always view the recipes before you order & can see what ingredients you’ll need prior to ordering.
For our box, we got to try Saucy Spaghetti with Italian Sausage Meatballs (LOVED the meatballs!), Veggie Flatbread Pizza with Ricotta, Spinach, and Peppers (can’t wait to make this again!) and Cheesy Grass-Fed Beef Tacos with Shredded Cabbage & Carrots (super good!)
Knowing what we were going to eat each night was such a relief! We used Dinnerly during the week that my younger two kids started back to school after many years of homeschooling! It was a TOUGH week but knowing that a simple dinner as waiting for us to prepare after homework made it that much easier!
Dinnerly currently ships to most of California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Texas, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Georgia, Colorado, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida and plans to expand their delivery area soon! Make sure you check out Dinnerly and their current weekly menu.
