About five or so years ago, I began oil painting. Actually I first started painting with Acrylics, after I had painted some little pots. I bought supplies, several packs of canvases in different sizes, and I painted almost non-stop. I am no professional, but it was SO relaxing, and my paintings are not half bad. I had never painted with water color before, but was eager to learn. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, when I received an email asking me to review Faber-Castell art supplies!

They so kindly sent me a couple of items, and I am thrilled to share them with you.

And now, what I am most excited about – water color pencils!  I had no idea that such a thing existed, so naturally I was intrigued. These satisfied my curiosity enough to finally try my hand with water colors.

I love that these pencils are of high quality – the pigments are bright and colorful and they dissolve really fast and completely when the brush with water is applied to them. Of course, I wouldn’t expect less from any Faber-Castell products though. I also love that they are very sturdy. It would be easy to snap a pencil in half while bearing down on it, but these pencils hold up like champs!
