$25 Ross Gift Card Giveaway and Ross Grand Opening & Back to School

Ross Dress for Less

I have been watching the progress of our new Ross store for months…I drive by it daily and have been very excited. When we first moved to this area about eight years ago, there was a Ross store in the same spot, but it closed shortly after our move. I was contacted to review the grand opening of the 1,000th Ross Store in my city! Of course I said yes – Ross has always been one of my favorite stores, and since we will be shopping at Ross this year, I am actually excited to do back-to-school shopping!

When I arrived at Ross for the big grand opening, the parking lot was really full. I grabbed a cart and headed in to brave the crowds (but not before I received a complimentary Ross Tote Bag).  Apparently I was not the only one who had eagerly awaited the opening of Ross!

I had planned on getting some clothes, but the more I looked around in the “home” section, the more I realized how many of these items I needed (and wanted of course). I have been trying to organize my clothes, due to limited space in my closet. While walking down the organizational aisle, I found a few things that were perfect for my storage issues!

Perfect right? The Underbed Shoe Organizer holds 12 pairs of shoes and was only $5.99, and the Underbed clothing storage containers were only $3.49/each (hence why I grabbed two!). I have big plans for these items, and I might very well be making another trip to Ross soon, in hopes of buying more of these.


In the next aisle was a wonderful assortment of bathroom decor/items. I have been looking for new rugs for our upstairs bathroom, and found several that would fit the bill. Since I wanted something to match our existing towels, I chose this rug set (rectangular rug and rug for toilet area) for only $11.99:

I was getting pretty excited at this point. Not only was I finding so many thing that I need, but for prices that were SO reasonable! As I turned the next corner, I saw a display of racks, shelves, end tables, etc. I pretty much wanted all of them – yep I do believe I have a corner or space for each and every one. I was really smitten with one in particular though. In our bathroom, we have a small wire rack that sits on the floors. We roll up bath towels and set them in there. Though it is convenient, it doesn’t look very nice. When I saw this shelf, I knew it was the perfect replacement:

Isn’t it awesome? It is a little bigger than it looks in the picture – it stands about 3′ tall. The shelves fold up and down too, which is nice if I have bigger items. I quickly put this in my cart, as there was only one other one on the floor. I had visions of someone taking them both before I grabbed one 🙂

This beauty was only $39.99 (compared to a price of $70 elsewhere). Fantastic deal!

Next I found silverware and dishes. Oh happy day – I have been looking for a set of spoons (yep – just spoons), but I have had the hardest time finding just spoons! I found a set of Iced Tea Spoons and added them to my cart. No more running out of spoons before other utensils anymore!  Also, since my daughter has been assigned the dishwasher duties, several of our small glasses have magically disappeared. I think they have actually been broken.  I was so happy to find the perfect small glasses at Ross.  They were only $3.99.  I believe the spoons were just $3.99 for the set:

 

But enough about what I found! I did manage to check out the huge clothing department at Ross too! This will definitely be one of the places I bring my daughter for back to school clothes. They have a huge selection of clothing for Juniors, women’s, misses, kids, infants and even Petite’s (music to my ears, since I am pretty darned short!). What about shoes? Oh yes, Ross has a huge selection of shoes for everyone in the family. Back to school shopping can be done so inexpensively at Ross. If your kids need new backpacks for school, Ross has those too!

  19. I go to my local Ross Store a couple of time a month. I usually shop for clothes, you can get name brand clothes fot a lor less than in other stores. My most recent purchase was 2 pairs of capris, they were only $14.99 each.

While I have to agree that some of the prices are unbeatable it had always bothered me that the staff was never in the mood tidying up after some customers who were just carelessly throwing clothes on the floor or just leaving other things in places where they don’t belong.
