As we age, we not only have to worry about our teeth, but our gums require some extra attention too. My husband’s gum issues started several years ago, and our dentist suggested that he try an electric toothbrush. He has been using it faithfully and his gums have improved significantly.

At my last dental visit, I was given the news that I should start using an electric toothbrush as well. Actually I should have been using one years ago, but that is another story 🙂 Since my husband brushes his teeth in the downstairs bathroom, he has his own electric toothbrush. I hadn’t bought one yet, but I did need one for upstairs. I was so happy to receive the Arm & Hammer Spinbrush ProClean. I really love this little thing, and since it is battery operated, I don’t have to worry about finding an available outlet for it (good thing – they are all occupied).

Since we have been diligent with our children’s dental care throughout the years, I will be purchasing each of them a Spinbrush as well. I do not want them to have to deal with gum issues when they are older, if it can be prevented by using an effective tool now. In addition to helping their gums, their teeth will benefit as well.   40. I use a regular toothbrush. It was suggested that I used an electric but I did not like how it felt so I went back to the regular manual toothbrush.

  43. I should be embarrassed to say this, but I’ve never used an electric toothbrush in my life. What a luxury that would be. I think it would be almost as awesome as going and having a full body massage. Please put my name in the hat – I’d love to apply this towards an electric toothbrush.

  51. I have been using an electric toothbrush for several years now. I like it much better than a regular toothbrush. I feel like I’m really getting my teeth clean. Plus, I love that mine has a timer, of sorts, on it. Then I know I’m brushing for 2 minutes without having to keep watch on a clock.

  149. Boring cheap regular toothbrush. I use to have a fancy spinny one, but the replacement brushes just ended up costing too much too often. 🙁 Miss it though.

  672. My daughter and I use regular toothbrushes we get free from special packages of Colgate. Her father uses the Sonic Toothbrush. The one with the special heads, etc.

  750. We used to all use spin brushes, but now we’re back to using regular toothbrushes. I feel like my kids were not taking the time to brush as thoroughly when they relied on the brush to do all of the work.
