I don’t know if you’re like me, but I love to push the easy button and create awesome treats. This 5 Minute Butterscotch Toffee Trifle has been a hit both at a company Christmas in a large bowl and as a single serving at home (my husband can’t get enough of it). I’m including the recipe for a single serving, but if you want to make it for a large crowd, just multiply everything by four.
5 Minute Toffee Butterscotch Trifle Ingredients
- 1 Sarah Lee Crumb Cake
- 1 ready to eat butterscotch pudding cup
- 1 tablespoon butterscotch caramel sauce (if you can’t find this in your local store, plain caramel also works)
- 2 heaping tablespoons of whipped cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped toffee pieces
5 Minute Toffee Butterscotch Trifle Method
- Chop Sarah Lee Crumb Cake and place half in the bottom of your bowl.
- Layer butterscotch pudding next. Follow by half of your toffee pieces.
- Next add the other half of your Sarah Lee Crumb Cake.
- Add butterscotch caramel sauce.
- To with whipped cream and remaining topping pieces.
- Serve immediately or chill for up to one hour.

Toffee and Butterscotch are two of my favorite flavors so this sounds absolutely delicious! Thank-you for this tasty recipe. 🙂

I am SO making this later today. It’s 5am now and of course it looks amazing and now I’m craving it. I love how easy it is. I hardly have any extra time and I’m a terrible cook. Awesome recipe and just what I need to de-stress and impress guests.
My husband Always want me to make butterscotch pudding & he’s the only one that really eats it. I bet he would love this & the rest of us too!I’m going to give it a try so thank you for the new recipe! It looks delicious. 🙂
Looks decadent, but so simple and fast. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome stuff you have on here.
The Trifle looks delicious and it’s a little different from the usual cake, brownies or cookies. Thanks for sharing, maybe I will bring this on Christmas day, sounds easy enough.

This looks delicious.Perfect for the holidays!
This sounds so good. For some reason butterscotch always reminds me of the holidays.
As much as I love Sara Lee and Entenmann’s snacks, it wouldn’t occur to me to use them as the base for something else. Love the idea of making them into a trifle! Thanks for the inspiration.
this sounds like a great recipe would love to try it at my home
That looks really good – I stocked up when I went to my sisters this summer, they don’t have a very limited selection here, when they have Entenmann’s at all. They don’t have that funny processed snack taste that a lot of the sweets do and I love them.
This looks really good, but would be murder on my diabetes.
I definitely need to try this, looks delicious.
That looks like a fantastic dessert!
What a great idea! I have never thought to do this!
Butterscotch Trifle sounds wonderful an so easy when you use a precooked Entermanns crumb cake, Ilove things that we can improvise on and this sounds wonderful, thank you for sharing
I bet their coffee is to die for! I’ve yet to try it
I love the Butterscotch
Butterscoth puddis my dads favorite, it looks so delicious.. I want some now!!! lol
I’m trying to lose weight. This is not helping.
Geez, I guess I missed this post back in December when you first posted it. Anyway, I’m glad I saw it now. It wouldn’t occur to me to take something like a store-bought crumb cake and turn it into something even more yummy–I usually just slice and eat them. You’ve opened my eyes to a world of possibilities. 🙂
this sounds like such a great recipe I would love to try it in my home
