Alvin and the Chipmunks Chipwrecked

Guess who is back?  My favorite group of guys!  I have so many fond memories of watching Alvin and the Chipmunks as a kid, and I am beyond excited that their new movie is coming to theaters on December 16th.  I imagine my daughter and I will make an afternoon of it and we will have a blast.

What is the new movie?  Alvin and the Chipmunks Chipwrecked!

A little about the movie:

The vacationing Chipmunks and Chipettes are turning a luxury cruise liner into their personal playground, until they become ‘chipwrecked’ on a remote island. As the ‘Munks and Chipettes scheme to find their way home, they accidentally discover their new turf is not as deserted as it seems. Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked is in theaters nationwide December 16th.

I thought the trailers for the movie were hilarious, and I thought you would enjoy seeing one of them as well.  But first, I want to tell you about the amazing cast in this movie.  I am amazed at all of the talent in one place. Jason Lee is Dave (I’m so happy about this – I love him in ‘My Name is Earl’), and other cast members are David Cross, Jenny Slate, and Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Amy Poehler, Anna Faris, Christina Applegate.  Funny folks!

  705. I’ll tell you why I was excited to see this movie–so excited in fact that I saw it last night! I was a big fan of the Chipmunks and the Chipettes as a kid in the ’80s. The Chipmunk Adventure remains a favorite film of mine. The trailer for this film seemed very similar in tone, laughs, and heart to the Chipmunk cartoons I grew up with. I was not disappointed!
