Green Earth Bamboo

My bedding is incredibly important to me. My sheets, pillow cases, blankets and comforter have to be soft and squishy. Yes, I said squishy 🙂 Climbing into bed each night should be one of the best parts of the day – it is time for the body to relax and our bodies deserve the very best for ultimate comfort.

I have been through so many comforters and sheet sets in my lifetime, and there are a select few that have been favorites. I have the perfect comforter now, and I want to make sure it is protected, but I also want the duvet cover to be just as soft and comfortable as the comforter. Green Earth Bamboo sent me a bamboo duvet cover to review and I couldn’t be happier.

 

Bamboo is one of the more eco-friendly products that you will find. For starters, bamboo grows at an astonishing rate of up to 4 feet a day. I know it’s hard to believe. So, you can imagine that there is an abundance of it, primarily in Asia. It really is a very sustainable resource. In case you were wondering, the type of bamboo that is used for our products is not the same species that panda bears eat. There are hundreds of species of bamboo.

One of the other great things about bamboo is the fact that it is naturally antimicrobial and therefore does not require any pesticides or herbicides throughout it’s growth process.

Who knew that viscose from bamboo could be used in sheets and bedding? I certainly did not! Not only is viscose from bamboo eco-friendly, but bedding made with viscose from bamboo is incredibly soft and even absorbent. This is really important to me, as I am at that age where I have hot flashes and night sweats (not pretty, I know). I just HAVE to try bamboo sheets in addition to the duvet cover!

I chose the Bamboo Duvet Cover in Green Tea, as we will be remodeling our room shortly. I like the soft, cool tone of it, and it will match perfect with the color scheme we have chosen. Of course, I am not waiting for the remodel to try the duvet – I put it on my bed immediately to enjoy it now.

 

I am love with it!  It is soft, cushy and just dreamy.  The only problem is it is still really hot here in California and I won’t be able to keep it on my bed until the chilly nights arrive. But I did roll around on it for a bit and plant my face in it, and oh yes – it is pretty amazing!
