After my father passed away last year, I was incredibly distraught (naturally). I remember receiving several flower deliveries from very special friends. Although the message card that was included only said a few sweet words, the flowers told me everything. Every time I looked at the beautiful flowers, I knew that others were thinking about me in my time of grief.
Of course, flowers are always appreciated in happier times too. My husband has sent me flowers for my birthday and Valentine’s Day for years. They are something I look forward to, and there is just something special about hearing the knock on the door, and then receiving a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. Knowing this is all because someone thinks you are pretty special is a wonderful feeling. It always puts a big smile on my face!
When my son was born, my parents brought me the cutest flower arrangement to congratulate me and to celebrate their brand new baby grandson. My room was filled with flowers from several other people too, and it made me smile each time I caught a glance of them.
Although I have never received a flower delivery by Interflora, their arrangements look gorgeous! They even have some personalized arrangements, including this Rose Hand-tied with Chocolate Lollipops:
I also found some great tips on taking care of flowers! I found this site super easy to navigate and all kinds of interesting things to read about what plants are good for health, names of flowers, etc. I hope you’ll check it out!
*I have partnered with Interflora to bring you this post.

I think for me it’s the colors that brighten up my day when going through a rough patch. Winter is so hard to get through…once in a while will buy a few fresh flowers from the grocery store and it is a great pick me up. Now that it’s summer…OH my gosh it is so awesome to see everyone’s gardens and see the fresh flowers in the shoppes.
I go between really wanting them on special occasions to feeling like they are a waste of money…but the wanting wins out;) I did get a bouquet for Mother’s Day!
I just love that pic of the heart lolipops in with the flowers.Florists are getting way more creative now!
I do quite enjoy getting flowers, too. It’s not just about getting the gift, but that someone was thoughtful enough to think of you in a time that it’s appreciated 🙂
