Barilla Microwaveable Meals
I remember when I worked in an office (years ago), and would have to pack a lunch each day, or go out to lunch (which was very expensive). Back then, there were not many choices in the way of “portable” lunches. I would usually make sandwiches, but they got boring pretty quickly.
I would have been a happy camper if Barilla Microwaveable Meals were available back then. Lunchtime wouldn’t have been so boring, and I would have felt satisfied because I had a filling, tasty meal. Since they do not need to be refrigerated, I could have kept them tucked safely under my desk instead of the company refrigerator where things tended to magically disappear.
I received several Barilla Microwaveable Meals to try, and did I have fun with this task! Even though I now work at home, I still appreciate a lunch that is quick to prepare. I am pretty busy most days, and stopping for lunch and taking time out of my day to prepare something is annoying. With Barilla Microwaveable Meals, it is really convenient to just pop one in the microwave and have a delicious meal. There are no preservatives, they contain 100% natural ingredients, and each meal is only 320 calories, so I don’t have to feel guilty for eating something that tastes this good.
Preparation was simple:
All that is required is to peel back the plastic slightly (to the dotted line) and microwave for 1 minute.
Peel the plastic off and your meal is ready! Note: it says to press down on the sauce container before peeling. Make sure you do this…I didn’t with my first meal (I just held onto the container) and I made quite a mess. Subsequent meals were not messy at all, as I did as instructed. I really like that the sauce is separate – it allows me to put as much or little sauce as I want.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure how the Barilla Microwaveable Meals would taste. Sometimes convenient food is lacking in flavor and nutritional value. This certainly was not the case here. The pasta is firm and perfect and the sauces are rich and really tasty. I was completely satisfied after eating these meals, and I will definitely keep several of these in my cabinet at all times. It kind of feels like they made them just for me! Of course, I wouldn’t hesitate to serve these to my kids and husband either, as I try to offer them healthy meals options as often as I can (and I stress the importance of this to them frequently!).
